Shikamaru's intelligence is superior to Sakura's, they are not equal. Naruto Wiki states that Sakura's intelligence went from 3 - 4 throughout the story, while Shikamaru's intelligence was always at 5.

Just because a person is more intelligent than another, doesn't mean they can't be corrected. He was drawing up a thesis based on what the message read and Sakura interjected with what she had heard.

A single panel of Sakura correcting Shikimaru doesn't prove anything.

You can't say they're equally smart because of a single panel. Shikamaru has clearly way more strategic insight. He was 'Planner for the Shinobi Union' (Novel only) and 'Proxy Commander of Fourth Division of the Allied Shinobi Forces' for a reason. I can't believe we're discussing whether she's smarter than Shikamaru. You can't judge their entire intelligence based off of one panel of her correcting him when he was drawing a hypothesis.

Why are you trying to debate something that the manga itself has even stated?

He was able to out smart a man with 80 + years of battle experience. That should speak volumes on his intelligence.

And you think Sakura's is original? Sakura is just basically Tsunade without the independence of not needing a man.

Everyone in the village is Naruto's lackey, Shikamaru is just higher on the stool.

At least he has a loving wife and child along with a good paying job. Sakura's supposed husband has been MIA for years, her daughter is questioning if she's even married, and she's neck deep in several debts because of property damage.
