Should he have ignored Rin was killed and simply return to the village leaving Madara alone?
I always say he should have gotten over that crush's death
There would have still been a plot. Madara and Black Zetsu were still devising evil in the shadows. Plus all the other additional ninja world issues plus conflict and wat. We may have gotten a better manga without all the rin nonsense. That's what he "should" have done, but then there'd be no manga. Just like Obito "should" have tried to capture Naruto as a baby instead of wait for him to mature. Logical decisions are going to be dearth in a fictional story for the most part.
if i was obito id probably have done what he did too. true love isn't something you can just be like " eh ill find another one". especially when your an orphan and your best friend(only friend) is the one who broke the promise and killed her. is it wrong? obviously. but if i was him, id say **** this world too, and if i had the power to change the world, id do that too.

I love seeing the bs his fans spout the guy was 13 his love for Rin was more an infatuation he was a kid if the he was 17 and Rin returned his feelings then his reaction would be more reasonable
