8th gate? Can't Deidara just float in the air and wait until he breaks down. They're just too many. Don't know how long 8th gate lasts though. Only caught up with the anime.
Depends on the factor, given his feats in speed and strength, he could destroy most of them in one-strike.
Deidara ? Won't have the time to make a bird and even then, the Evening Elephant could hit him and Gai can (I'm not lying) "fly" by kicking up the air, Deidara's last words will be "WUT" before he die.
Sasori is blitzed and killed before he can bring out the puppet, and he won't have the time to pull up attacks.
Kisame can't absorb the attacks and therefore also get dead, these are also air cannons after all and while he had the durability to tank an attack of, maybe equal power, a second one shut him down.
Hidan survive but he's a mess of broken flesh and bone at the end, his curse won't work on something he can't touch.
Kakuzu's Domu probably won't tank one attack, and chances are, he won't be able to activate it in the first place.
Konan is scattered away, and get dead before she can even think "gotta turn paper", if she fly up, she get to die like Deidara.
Pain's shinra Tensei, unless it's max, is overpowered, Preta can't absorb the attack at all, the "grabbing" paths can't touch Gai and the animals won't have the time to be summoned.
Obito survive if he's quick, and since he could still somewhat survive a rasengan to the back, he could probably end up alive after being attacked once without Kamui. If he does not activate it before the second attack tho, he ded.
Itachi also dies before he can activate his Susanoo, and even if he does, Gai circle around him and vaporize it and Itachi with a punch, Totsuka can't catch it and Gai's too quick for Itachi to pull it toward the attack.
Zetsu one-shot tho.

Yeah, but those are 1v1 scenarios. This is unrealistic. I'm sure Gai wins 1v1 but not against the entire Akatsuki. Even if he beats 1 using 8 Gates, he'll be cripple for the next fight.
He should still easily blitz and kill some of the group, depending on the factors, some won't even have the time to taunt youth !
I give Obito and maybe Itachi a shot but the rest won't have the time to activate hax if Gai isn't far enough, even altogether, Gai is a monster.
