well, i would say my HONEST opinion but i just dont know why fairy tail fans ALWAYS, i mean ALWAYS will be super-sensitive and will always be mad and call you a hater unless you praise mashima's work.
so my review is, natsu is really cool because he is strong and great artwork. gotta love mashima.

It seems you are under a misconception. For starters every series has got its 'super-sensitive fans'. By no means they are particularly unique to Fairy Tail. Naruto has way too much character fanbases who continuously head but with each other. Hunter X Hunter fans have developed the very annoying habit of accusing pretty much half of the existing manga series of ripping from HxH etc. Secondly it's not so much that we can't handle criticism. I have yet to see a fanbase who keeps their mouth silent whenever someone bashes their series, however you can show your criticism in a polite way or are you seriously expecting anyone to be silent when people react like the post I quoted below? That's not criticism, if I try to visualize that I see a person puking.
Is FT the highest quality manga series in existence with the most elaborate plot? No. Was this the best chapter that ever appeared in the series? No. But seriously a post like below is nothing more than a post to whine and barf, not to provide any constructive criticism as anyone who even has a shred of insight in plot development, knows that not only was this to be expected, it had to be done. That doesn't mean you should suddenly start praising the chapter, but it does show that many of this supposed criticism is just an excuse to trash talk.
I already predicted that it would go like this from the first panel the Avatar guild got introduced. Why? Because it's the only thing that would make any sense plotwise. Why the hell introducing evil group #134556 that wants to resurrect Zeref, while clearly having no knowledge whatsoever about him, out of the blue and making them a serious villain? That is extremely bad writing. The only purpose of these small arcs is nothing more than gathering at least the core members of Fairy Tail and show their growth during the past year. What the hell did people expect? That Natsu would be beaten an inch of his life by a run of the mill villains that don't even have any particular strong magic or mages? What the hell was the point then in that mini-time skip? None, so the only thing that would make sense and would need to happen, is that Natsu and the others would be the bloody crap out of them. I mean what does that war god even have anything to do with Zeref?
At this point Natsu is pretty much an entity encompassing the strongest demon of the Book of Zeref and the King of the Flame Dragons and he would be beaten by a spell that belongs in the same category as a spell Erza and Kagura survived during the Grand Magic Games? What?
That it had to happen doesn't suddenly make it a high quality chapter, but some of this whining is not so much the result of that the chapter is bad, but that the ones who do the whining absolutely did not understand this arc despite its simplicity and instead of admitting that they're venting it out on the series. Was the Avatar guild weak? Of course they were, that was almost certain from their first appearance, their role was never to be important, so why the hell start people expecting them to be big and then start complaining when they are not? That's not the series fault, that's the reader's fault.
Seriously if you want to know more about nakama power ups and fanservice, ask the persons who whine the most as the biggest irony of all their complaining is that they focus more on those things than regular readers despite them claiming they hate it.
I find it extremely funny that the person below me is questioning Hiro's balls. Hiro not only pulled one of the longest time-skips among the more popular series, but he showed how dreadful they can be, that a time-skip doesn't mean that the world evolves in a linear positive pattern and that they can be brutal. He then pulled another mini-time skip while making the guild disband, while nakama has always been one of the most prominent aspects of the series, and show how all the characters had to fill in their new lives. You can complain that it was superficial, but at least he had the balls to do stuff like that and to be more exact it's because FT is written as it is, Hiro can do it. The plot of Naruto had become so focused on itself that it eventually got trapped in itself.
Even if you hate all the nakama stuff and what not, if you can't even see that through all the flaming, well yeah then this is not criticism, is barf and no one likes it when gets puke on him.
Fairy Tail is a garbage series. I used to be a huge fan of the series and it was one of my favorite anime. Ever since the timeskip, Fairy Tail has been on a decline due to the obsessive nakama powers ups, excessive fanservice, and lackluster villians & pointless plots. These two chapters are really badddddd. How in the **** does Mashima have the balls to one shot a GOD? Natsu is too ****ing OP. He one shotted all the villians in this arc. I wont be suprised if Acnologia and Zeref get trolled during the final arc. Fairy Tail has been a huge disappointment lately. Avatar is the msot pathetic guild ever. This arc is just pointless. The battles have ben rushed. The villians get knocked out in one hit. The timeskip served no purpose. The guild members remain unchaged and haven't experienced any character development. The plot is stupid. I am just reading fairy shit for the LAUGHS.
