As for me, I'm probably bit of a slacker. I procrastinate way too much, and I'm always putting off my studies and my violin. Just browsing through Narutobase atm ^^

It depends upon what every individual personally considers "success." This will be a interesting turn out question and possible flame war. Myself personally, I consider success a nice family with children.
I have a fiancé and we are not wanting children quite yet, so I'm not there yet in my own eyes.
Some people view success as being alive. Those are the people who have my unwavering respect.

Not yet I don't. I still have dreams and aspirations I want to achieve.

Too early to tell. Ask me again in 10 years or so.

I guess it's how you define success. I have the fancy letters behind my name, house in the expensive zip code, the BMW convertible, etc., but that's not really success. They are just different kinds of possessions. True success comes from finding some fulfillment in your life; doing something that impacts your friends and family, community, country, and possibly the world some day. Possessions are just an expression of some unquenchable desire to want.

To answer the question, without being redundant, I don't see myself as successful as I want. I would like to see myself more self-actualized; doing more for people. Lately I've become less spiritual and more selfish. I don't like that. It's harder to be more austere and self sacrificing. Buying things you don't need is easy.

I don't consider myself successful just yet, and definitely not at this very moment while I'm surfing the Internet. But I think success amounts to doing something that you think is meaningful in life and getting a sense of self-gratification from it. As for me, that would most likely equate to prosperity and wealth, which is probably why I would define success for me at the moment as excelling in my education and studies if I am to have an opportunity to acquire a meaningful job (with lots of money ^^).

You want to grab some food, go to my house and talk about it? I don't consider myself successful yet either, I have a job and I'm finishing my undergraduate degree in I.t at the moment.

To tell the truth, I really don't know what I want to do with my life. All that I do know is that I would like to be successful, but I'm not quite sure which path I should follow to attain that goal. As for university courses, I have no idea what I really want to do.

And here I'm thinking that success is material success. Just living the fake American Dream :bouncy:

How old are you? I didn't really have any particular plan for my life until I was probably 26. I just wanted to drink alcohol and play music. Go easy on yourself, take some time to really find out who you are before you focus on who you want to be. Who we want to be changes often, especially if we haven't found who we are.

Knowing what you want to do doesn't come to you overnight, but from how it sounds you really want a sign or direction, so start with whatever interests you, it doesn't matter what it is, then get a job or hone that specific skill and use it as fuel to find something you would like to do in life, as for university, it will always be there. So take your time and find something that you enjoy learning more about. :)
