4/5 good chapter would have like more fighting but loved the setup for next week and can't wait for some explanations. I think the fight ends next week for sure not done today though.

Obviously. Oda wants us to think the fight is over then DD comes back in with something we've never seen before. This happens in every manga. Even in Dbz the narrator always said that "the fight is over" just for the enemy to come back and wreck the place (when Cell killed Trunks for example). If the fight was really over there would've been a way bigger portrayal to it then just seeing a little panel of DD being stuck to a wall.

I mean this literally happens in every single Shonen manga out there.

The rousing speech, the moment of hopelessness when all seems lost, the villain pulling out a powerful attack and the hero flying in to deliver a clashing blow.

But at the end of every fight there are people who want more.

Obviously. Oda wants us to think the fight is over then DD comes back in with something we've never seen before. This happens in every manga. You do recall the whole thing with the awakening power, that is something we have never seen before, he was turning huge section of Dressorosa into string and trying to kill Luffy with them.

We had the whole page to show Luffy hitting Doflamingo with Leo Bazooka.

Everything you claimed is part of a fight finale already happened.

Doflamingo probably will get up back again, but he sure as hell won't be doing anything to flashy anymore. he is like a dying animal right now, making one last desperate attempt but it's futile, even if he overcomes one obstacle he should realize he is doomed, there is a lineup of other powerfull people waiting.

Doflamingo probably will get up back again, but he sure as hell won't be doing anything to flashy anymore. he is like a dying animal right now, making one last desperate attempt but it's futile, even if he overcomes one obstacle he should realize he is doomed, there is a lineup of other powerfull people waiting.

I think he will reveal that defeating him won't stop the bird cage and that if he is going down he will take everyone on the island with him.

This idea of 'awakening' is actually not something new. As already stated in this thread the subordinates of Sadi-chan in Impel Down were awakened Zoans and they have been bugging me for years as Oda never explained what they were exactly, he just made Crocodile say that they are awakened and no character was particularly interested in it, acting like it was normal.

Also DD's DF is different from Luffy's DF as DD can create and control strings, his body however is not made of strings (the clone excluded, but I count that as him simply created strings and shaping them). Luffy is the opposite. He is rubber, but he can't create rubber. So in the hypothetical situation that Luffy would awaken, I don't think it would go the same way as with DD. In the end what DD did after awakening was an upgrade of something he could already do, namely creating strings. So going into the direction of that Luffy is going to transform stuff into rubber is, I reckon, wrong.

And perhaps the fight is over, and well get a flashback on what happened. But I doubt that. Why else would he skip 20 minutes though?

I think part of it comes down to the fact we've had so many new concepts already introduced in this arc, yes, I know it was mentioned in Impel Down, but most people assumed it was specific to Zoan users.

Its reintro is also undermining as there's only been a couple of pages with Doffy's awakened powers in use

Of course we will see more of it in future, it doesn't change the fact it's all very underwhelming at the moment

Turning objects into rubber would be retarded and serve no purpose at all. I've got a couple of ideas:
-Liquid properties as a temporary pseudo logia
-Rebounding any and all damage (possibly with liquid like properties to allow a shift of kinetic energy in his body to be released straight back at opponents)
