This my first thread so don't rip me too bad. So we know there is a great chance that Sarada will awaking the Sharingan because of her father right. Well my question if Boruto awakens the Bakugan because of his mother. What affects will his Uzumaki lineage have on his dojutsu?

Can one "aweken" the byagukan?

Byakugan really shouldn't affect his Uzumaki lineage since only Full Uzumaki (in the sense of having both Uzumaki parents) have the chains strong enough to hold down a Bijuu. Naruto was born with strong chakras (scan), powerful body, and large reserves/stamina. Taking that for granted, Boruto was shown capable of using the shadow clone jutsu, and from my understanding he made two (one to trick his father, and one besides him). Meaning his chakra pool is already high.

Given that the Byakugan requires intense chakra control to use, and that Naruto himself learned techniques such as the Rasengan which is the pinnacle of shape manipulation (mind you which is a higher form of chakra control), Boruto would be a genius with the Byakugan, if not more. Already being hailed as a Prodigy in his generation, and with a childish attitude to boot. If the kid can become serious and breach out with a goal, then he will probably be the strongest of his generation. Kurama or not.

OP is probably running on the "hybrid" given element they have. I'm already siding on the team of them not having it, but there is a strong urge to say that they could possibly awaken it due to them being half and half of something, first of their kind.

Who cares though - Kishimoto will unveil it sometime.

I don't think you can awaken it. I think you're born with it. could be wrong but I thought all byukugan users eyes were naturally white. plus I don't think kishi intends for boruto to use dojutsu sisince naruto didn't. I predict however that boruto inherited all the bijuu chakras but that could be unlikely as well. I think the mother would have to be the jin in order for the chakra to pass down to a offfspring

That Rasengan ain't the pinnacle of shape manipulation anymore. Shit had become basic. I wouldn't be surprise to see it as a standard jutsu in the new generation.

Nobody knows. Kishi stopped giving a fck about byakugan years ago. Whether it's awakened or not is debatable.

Just like sharingan has to be awakened, byakugan can also awakened through some special event.
Because the fact that we all know that sharingan is the gen that coming from Kaguya, who has sharinnegan. But after giving birth to Hagonomo and Haruma, her son has only rinnegan and the red rinnegan without tomoe / her other son only has byakugan. This can be explained that her gen is being divided through mating with another person (without sharinnegan ofc) and giving birth to hybrid.
Same to indra and ashura, we only see indra version with sharingan, so i can assume that his eyes is always active since birth (like a normal eyes or like how byakugan works).
With all the given fact, after indra mating with some unknown, until the day the clan Uchiha is formed - Their eyes need to go through some special event to awaken the special gen in their eyes/brain to activate the sharingan.
