There's nothing wrong with regulation of what kind of guns you get and who gets them. If just anyone could get any gun, you're gonna have trouble. It doesn't matter, the orders are coming from Israel.
But I'm against gun laws. Everyone should have one lol.
A lot of people think that, but it's quite the opposite.I don't really identify with either, but if I did, I'd definitely be a democrat/

You're saying that knowing the owner might have a gun is enough to deter thieves everywhere from robbing stores. Yeah, no. That possibility exists right now, and it still happens. Thieves go into stores and houses knowing the people inside could have weapons. If they're confident to think "I could get caught and get serious jail time, but I most likely won't so here I go" what's stopping this same confidence from applying to getting shot? What's stopping this same confidence from making them think "I could get shot and die, but I most likely won't, so here I go"? There are plenty of stupid thieves already. Not to mention making it easier to get guns creates the possibility that one could get many guns, and use them to rob a store or a house as a group, as opposed to just one person with one gun.A lot of people think that, but it's quite the opposite.
If everyone would have a gun, potential thiefs for example, know that.
So if they break into a house they know that the owners could defend themselves.
If someone wants to make a shooting in a store (to rob it or something), they know the possibility is very high that someone has a gun.
Thiefs rob a store because they think they won't get caught, otherwise no one would do it.
So if the owners and other customers could defend themselves, or others, thiefs wouldn't be so dumb and commit the crime.
This argument again....A lot of people think that, but it's quite the opposite.

Not just the owners, the customers could also have a gun. You're saying that knowing the owner might have a gun is enough to deter thieves everywhere from robbing stores. Yeah, no. And it's not just thieves. Criminals, thugs and gangmembers would be able to get guns much more easily and freely. Please inform me in what way that would turn out good. There's already a problem with these kinds of people having weapons, what good comes from making this problem even easier to increase?
Guns aren't toys. They aren't something that's cool to have. They're made to take lives. They are not something that should be given out lightly. Background checks, regulation of what kind of guns you can buy, regulation of who gets to buy a gun are important. You want to have a gun? Sure, you have the right to try, but there should be laws that determine whether or not you're eligible to have one and what kind you have.
This argument again....
If a clerk or another customer had a gun and tried to stop an armed robber then you open up the very likely gun fight scenario which puts more lives at risk than if the gun wielding robber comes in and takes what he wants and leaves. Based on everything I've seen with my own eyes, an armed robber usually doesn't fire his gun, it's more so used as a tool for intimidation. I've seen quite a few robberies where the perp never even loaded the gun, they just had it to scare people into putting up no resistance.
Are there situations where civilians in a crowd with a gun can be helpful, sure, but that doesn't equate to everyone carrying guns = more/better protection. It just means we'll live in a time more like the old west(or Florida) where you can shoot first, shoot again, shoot a few more times for luck then ask questions.
OT: Neither the two party system is destroying our country, our community and our democracy. It focuses primarily on dividing us as a people rather than building us up.
Yes it would, believe me I know enough people who talk like you're talking and know how they think. There would be way more shooting before knowing the situations, and mob mentality would make it even worse. People who think they're doing the right thing would end up unnecessarily taking the life of another human like George Zimmerman did, and there's no justification you can present that will convince me Zimmerman was in the right for shooting someone dead he SUSPECTED of being a criminal. Every person doesn't have the responsibility to impartially play judge which is why we appoint and trust others who are more level headed to do it for us.
If everyone could have a gun, no one with an intelligence higher than a stone would rob it.
The thing is, they can't do anything against illegal guns. Criminal's get their guns!
So normal citizens can't defend themselves.
Nope it wouldn't be like the old west.
Tbh I want to have weapons to use against my government when they try to take over my life.I don't really identify with either, but if I did, I'd definitely be a democrat/
