Lml I made my my mom watch Elfen lied and death note, she really enjoyed it (i never watched it with her, she watched it herself after I gave her some episodes along with some movies). Dad on the other hand, I think i'd rather pass cuz he gets funky over anything he see's related to anime.

She enjoyed Elfen Lied? Horrendous, just terribly terrible.

sometimes my brother ( 10 years older than me ) when he comes to our home for a vocation or something he watches one piece on the pc (the pc is on the middle of the house ) and nobody seems to care but i cant bring myself to do that so i sit alone in my room and watch anime using my iphone !

It's the first anime I've rated as 1. The story was written by seemingly a kid with high level of autism. Characters were out of the place all the time and the gore was exaggerated. I dont know what people like in that shitty work

My mom used to watch most of the animes with me. And since the sub was to fast and complex for me at that point (I was 6 when I first started watching this crap. Plus I had some problems keeping up with the subs for some reson which used to make me cry alot as kid, thinking that I was dumb and shit) she use to explain everything to me out of pitty.

Everyone thinks their parents don't have an inkling of what they are doing 90% of the time.....they seem to forget that they too were once kids as well. Parents can't be much better liars then their kids...after all....they have many more years of practice at hiding what they know and what they don't know.

Might want to keep that in mind the next time you think your parents are absolutely oblivious to what is going on under their own roof

I've been caught watching a few episodes of Naruto on Toonami back when I was 12-13, but it was more of a passing thing and I'm sure they saw it as a cartoon, anyways. My dad did ask me about an episode of Death Note I wound up recording on Adult Swim back in the day, but I didn't go into depth on it and the moment just slipped by. He was more concerned with me listening/watching dirty comedy, anyways. lol

It's definitely the ultimate fetish among anime (doesn't even break my Top 30), but I'd have to disagree otherwise. The story was pretty good and well-written considering they didn't adapt the entire manga and I consider Lucy one of the best antagonists I've seen in anime (certainly among females). I'd also have to disagree with the comment about the characters, though I can see why a few of them might be considered inconsistent.

As for the gore, that's essentially Elfen Lied's trademark feature that makes it stand out from the crowd (at least back then) and that really just goes with preference since I know not everyone likes extreme levels of violence. The nudity, I dunno. There's really not a lot of ways to defend that. lol
