[Discussion] Dragon Ball GT Canon or not?

I honestly think it is non cannon as it is not a part of the Manga. It is seen as an alternate timeline and is completely cast aside upon the release of DBZ battle of the gods. Even with all this when you google the question "Is DBGT cannon?" You can see it is said you can consider it canon due to the fact that Toryiama (Not sure if I spelled that right) oversaw the making and even did his own sketch of SSJ4 Goku.

I want to know what people here think knowing mostly everyone has watched the Dragon Ball series.
