Sasuke had shitty trainers. Shit, we both know that orochimaru didn't train him to the best of his knowledge. Otherwise we would've seen incomplete sage mode and a lot of forbidden jutsu from Sasuke.

Depends what you mean by strength. Indra produced the strongest descendants in terms of ability but Ashura produced the strongest descendants overall because they inherited his Will of Fire unlike the overrated Uchiha clan.

That's not really the case. Imagine if Naruto was born in his clan like Sasuke.
Fuuinjutsu (hell even FTG from his father), and SM. Even without the Kyuubi Naruto is Kage level, he just would not be able to combat people with PS, though he could make up for it with sheer talent and strong chakras like Ashura.
Obito and Madara = Uchiha + Senju
Sasuke = Uchiha + Hagoromo's Yin + Senju? (If Kabuto gave Sasuke Hashi's DNA while unconcious)
Those 3 no longer only wield Uchiha power but have Senju power as well. Not sure about Sasuke though he has power from Hagoromo who technically is Indra+Ashura. Them inheriting his power. Though Sasuke doesn't actually use Senju power. Rinnegan is something that's acquired through both Indraand Ashura but is still it's own seperate power. That being Hagoromo's.
If your question is who has the strongest descendants, then it would clearly be Uchiha. Though he strongest 3 wield additional power besides only that of an Uchiha (Rinnegan/Senju), they are still Indra's descendants, not Ashura's.
If you are talking about only pure Uchiha or Senju power, then it's a bit trickier. Shisui has KA though it's only once a decade (or twice if it's one use per eye), Obito with both eyes and without Senju DNA still would be a force to reckon with (Kakashi doesn't have Senju DNA and isn't an Uchiha yet he improved in Kamui's use and was able to use it more times before being depleted). In Obito's case, he'd still grow blind in time but for most opponents, it uld still take one snipe to deal with since most wouldn't react.
Sasuke still has his legged Susanoo with Blaze Release while Itachi has Totsuka and Yata and is also skillful and has battle smarts.
In the past (Madara and Hashirama's time), Senju were the strongest. Madara and Izuna were the only noticed ones in the Uchiha and Hashi and Tobirama the only ones in the Senju. Hashirama and Tobirama being superior to them either way. EMS Madara by himself still being inferior to Hashirama. Still no other noticeable Uchiha and no Senju besides Tobirama (Senju still suoerior).
Though if DMS Obito, Itachi, Shisui, and EMS Sasuke would've lived during their period, I do believe things would've been different. Tsunade is the only other Senju who I've heard of that isn't like the rest.
There were probably other Uchihas and Senju who stood out from the rest (Indra and Ashura's transmigrants especially) but unfortunately, we haven't heard of them.
I'll go with Indra's descendants in general.

Think about it guys. The sage said Indra was stronger than Ashura for most of his life. It wasn't until Ashura caught up that Indra wanted to fight/kill him. Logically they are equal rivals. Look at Naruto and Sasuke. Sasuke had plenty of chances to kill Naruto while he was weaker than him. He waited till Naruto caught up similar to Ashura/Indra to want to try and kill him. They are rivals, one might look stronger but the other will improve and catch up. They were meant to be equals.

Was gonna say Indra when I read the thread title but then I remembered that from Ashura 2 powerful clans were born (Senju & Uzumaki) not just 1 like Indra (Uchiha).

I go with Ashura. Hashirama was stronger than Madara, I think Naruto has a slight edge over Sasuke now, plus the Senju beat the Uchiha clan in addition the Sage choose Ashura as his successor.

When Naruto was a noob they were both friends.. and then during chunin exams Naruto became the stornger one. At VOTE 1, Naruto spared Sasuke. And then at the little confrontation they had.. they would've most likely tied. During the war arc, there was 0 situation in which he could've killed Naruto because he was weaker than him. He got furstrated over not being able to beat Naruto.. and started begging him to lose, in their VOTE fight. And espcially considering the fact Naruto didn't even consider it a fight.
There is no more catching up, Sasuke's role in the manga was to be rival of Naruto.. which he did well. And now Naruto is the strongest ninja to exist.

Orochimaru clearly said Sasuke still have a lot of room to grow. orochimaru know what Sasuke can become. He didn't want him to become too strong, so he take over his body.
We all know what Orochimaru is all about and capable of. The only time it seem like orochimaru had trained Sasuke was when Sasuke fought Itachi and use some of Orochimaru's jutsu. After that, it seem like Sasuke had never been trained by orochimaru.
To me Orochimaru is the ninja who know how to hold his own in all his weakest moments and survive. Sasuke done poorly hold his own in his weakest moments. Somebody always gotta save his ass.
