Basically, I'm just wondering if there is anyone like me, or the complete opposite. Do I believe in God? No, I just don't see how something like that could exist, and if he does exist, he's a douche. I simply say this because if I made a world and put people on it, I wouldn't be letting two year old girls get raped, children get killed, etc. Some people argue and say God lets us make our own decisions, he doesn't interfere with us, etc, but than why do you pray? It's just like in the chapter Malachi 3:1 "God" says he hated a MAN named Esau, yet God is forgiving and only loves. If he does exist what stops him from hating you? It's in the bible he hates, etc. Can he not have a mad side, sad side, and so forth?

Now do I want to believe? Yes, because I don't believe I don't think there's some douche bag ruler. So yes I want him to exist, because I'm afraid of death. I'm afraid once you die that's it, no more memories, family, basically like you never existed. So yes I wish there was a God, simply because I want life after death.

What do you guys think? Believe in God? Do you want to?

I'm open to the notion of it's existence, so long as I see solid and irrefutable proof. Do I want to believe in one? I don't care really, it's none of my concern if there is.

I'm a theist who has many problems with the church but I can't help believe in him......to the smallest extent.....I don't believe the bible is literal and anyone who does is an absolute moron but there are many evangelical blow hards who give us believers a bad rap.

You're main point is known as the Problem of Suffering and Evil. Here's a video of John Lennox, the Professor of Mathematics at Oxford, addressing this problem. He's probably my favorite Christian apologist. If you have any other major problems such as this one, feel free to look up some John Lennox or Ravi Zacharias videos.

I hated these threads because they were always repetitive and the OP were always thirsty for Hot Threads.
How about ban religious Threads on NB?
There's no point in arguing over something like that.

Ah, the God threads are dime a dozen. Really, do people think God is hot or something because apparently he's near the sun, so strive to make hot threads regarding him to smybolise him? Lol

Oh, and the answer is I don't care if he exists or not.

I believe there could be a God,though I have different views on what such a being could be.

I forgot about William Lane Craig. He's a good Christian apologist/debater, as well. He addresses the Problem of Suffering and Evil in this video.

I believe that we all weren't just "accidentally" created or by chance...you know the big bang theory and all. But that we all actually have a living, more real than you can possibly imagine creator, GOD himself. Its the truth too, and for anyone with doubts or your just questioning yourself does GOD exist? Then here's a video link, that I know will bring peace to your soul about this matter -> . Also knowing there's a good amount of people who believe in GOD, their precious creator but don't know who he really is, you know asking yourself questions like if GOD is so powerful, and good natured then why does he allow all the bad, sinful things keep being done, over and over again since the beginning of time? Well I've got good news for you , click on this link -> which will help answer this wonderful question of yours :win:

Me? Strive for a hot thread? On a website? A mere website, lmao a hot thread? I definitely wouldn't be telling you guys what I'm scared of if it was for a hot thread? I'm wondering if there is anyone who agrees with me, I saw a thread about god and figured id like to know others opinions relating to mine. Please move on, no one cares about a hot thread on a website filled with anime nerds like myself.

Spoken with all the wisdom of the serpent.

So, let's explore your mindset:

You don't understand how some kind of cosmic force or purpose could be behind the formation of the world you live in. This all just came about randomly with no rhyme or reason to it. There is, thus, no purpose to life but what one's own ambitions can concoct.

Thus, if there were a god that existed as a sentient force, then he must be a cosmic douche because his objectives do not line up with my own. ****ing cockbag - why can't life be a string of endless orgasms? I'd do better than he would.

Then we devolve into deconstructions of god's character based upon ancient Hebrew scriptures because all definitions of God must fall within this depiction.

Further compounded upon the completely ridiculous notion that one should believe in god because one fears the end of his own ability to affect change in the world (IE - the end of one's own ego).

Basically - your assessment boils down to one big: "The universe is random, therefor I can tell it how it should be because, obviously, I know better."

There are two ways to look at the world.

That the world is inherently a perfect process worthy of study and understanding.

Or that the world is an inherently flawed process in need of tampering and modifying.

One looks at the world and says: "Look at this, there exists a means in the world by which we may improve our food production - how wonderful it is."

The other look at the world and says: "By what logic need we consume in order to survive? Clearly, if there were a God, he's sadistic."

I don't think the question is whether or not you believe in God.

The question is whether or not you believe your own cognitive processes superior to any deity you can imagine.

I'm just going to say, I don't want my "ego" to end because umm I don't know, I have a son, who I love very much and I never want to loose him, same with my wife. Hows that for your "ego?" POS
