Here me out.
The religion of jashinism mirrors the religion of Thugee, who worship the female deity Kali.
Kali was the goddess of destruction and what not, her wrath was feared, that sounds eerily similar to tsunade.
It was said somewhere that hidan become immortal from a series of experiments that normally failed, but in his case it went well. Orochimaru is known for experiments, and seems to be unparalleled in his craft, though only tsunade can correct or even perfect his experiments with her medical ninjutsu and knowledge, this is evident withy he hashirama cells. She easily contructed arms for Naruto and sasuke.
So it isn't farferxhed to say that she would be able to make hidan immortal.
But this is what sold me,
Those who manage to temporarily subdue tsunade were bound to suffer the same fate, similar to how hidans Jutsu works.
Kabuto managed to subdue her by playing on her fear of blood, Kabuto's was stopped the same way, he was subdue because itachi played on his enter most fears, of being nobody....., or something like that.
Madara somehow managed to slice her in half, and what do you know, as a god....he suffered the same fate.
This seems to good to be a coincidence.
But why the sacrifces? Summons like sacrifices, manda requested such of orochimaru..
I had to share this, this idea just crossed my mind
