Might be referring to ch.699 flashback or something. Dekoton goes on to talk about Sasuke being armless in the movie. Posting person doesn't mention if they mean actual book or if they're just thinking about it while referring to something unrelated that they're reading.
It seems like the other couples are already established within the novel. Shikamaru and Temari, Sai and Ino, and Chouji and Karui. They're hanging out, based on what I can tell.
