There is the point that despite Danzo wanting to be Hokage and lead the village his way, he never pulled it off on Hiruzen, in which he easily could have gotten his way given both the advisers were on his side, too. Counts for something, I imagine.

The only technique off the top of my head that he lacks the "requirement" for is the Akimichi's abilities(doesn't have the weight/calories in his body to pull it off).

Everything else could be learned and performed with his "prime" body, assuming he put the training in to be able to do so.

I don't really see how that addresses my point :l
I know Danzō still thought he was inferior, but in a vs thread Hiruzen has no hard counter for KA right off the bat.

That everything points to the fact that Koto was ineffective on Hiruzen? DAnzo was willing to let the village get destroyed to get his power. On multiple occasions(Kyuubi attack and Pain's attack). He had the advisers backing him up. If Koto worked on Hiruzen without him somehow getting out of it, you're going to be hard pressed to argue that Danzo didn't attempt it.

no byakugan/sharingan should be obvious.

Sure, not a listed technique for it. Going off of how Danzo acts/how the manga portrayed him, there's little reason to believe he wouldn't have tried it on Hiruzen, and obviously, it failed. Obviously no scans or anything to argue that Hiruzen > Koto, just thinking logically here...which may not be wise, given Kishi's dumbass.

I wonder how people would react to Hiruzen stepping down for the unknown Danzō to take over. Besides, deep down he had a deep respect for Hiruzen. It's possible he didn't want to do anything extreme against him, despite the hatred he held for his ideals.

And still, this is a vs thread. Any counter Hiruzen may have is just hardcore speculation.

What advanced Inuzuka techniques are there? Doesn't Akamaru transform in to Kiba to do their fang technique or w/e it's called? Plus, if Hiruzen ever found a need to use one of their techniques(which I can't ever think of a situation where that need would arise), he can use a transformation jutsu on Enma or a clone. But he already has the Inuzuka clan's greatest asset, which is their sense of smell, which is how he defeated Hashirama's bringer of darkness.

Fair point on Aburame. Forgot about them.

And yeah, doujutsu is obviously out since he doesn't possess them.

Nah, Danzo didn't get away with nearly half as much as he wanted to, as noted by how he acted at the kage summitt. Most of what Danzo did while Hiruzen was hokage was necessary work. He even went behind Hiruzen's back to pull off the Uchiha Massacre.

Wouldn't need to have him step down. Just slowly alter how things are run over time. Explain it as necessary adjustments based off things like the Hyuga incident, the Kyuubi attack and the Uchiha massacre.
