I had a hard time watching this anime because the main character is such a wuss.... but that changed at the end of season 1. I just recently started watching the anime only version which is called Tokyo Ghoul√A.

Where should i start reading the manga after season 1? Did they skip a lot of important information in the anime version?

I freaking love how kaneki(I think that's the name of the boy) walk like a badass here... respect....

Nope, it's non-canon but takes place in the TG universe, obviously.

Sort of, it's an alternative route written by Ishida himself.

I read some things about it. Season 2 is completely different than the manga itself.

I'm planning on doing that after i'm done watching the alternative verse or filler aka season 2. I hope they have this badass kaneki in the manga if not then it's going to be a pain the ass.

They do, what I like about him is that his character isn't so unrealistic. Its very raw and credible, he doesnt get a power up and out of nowhere thinks he's invincible, he is conflicted. I think you'll find it interesting.

Absolutely not, any character that acts like Sasuke is not a compliment in my book.
He's is more inexperienced and kindhearted. Truly cares about those around him and will go arm an leg to do what's right without imposing a "hero of justice" shenanigans.

He's a couple of hundreds of levels above him. So yeah, if you put it mildly, you can say he's better.
