How pretentious is the romance? I mean they don't have scenes where they stare Into each other's eyes as dramatic music plays do they? I don't even buy the whole naruhina pairing so I won't be able to sit through to much of that.

No. Some of the scenes were weird. Like Naruto and Hinata were at a fountain and he tried to give her water with his hands, and some gimics like that. I guess that is the Japanese way of how they view romantic scenes in such situations like that, but overall the TRUE romantic scenes were actually enjoyable.
From start to finish I was laughing, smiling, screaming, fangirling at Sasuke's meteor scene, yelling at Naruto to kick Toneri's ass, and the final kiss/ending scene.
I give it a solid 7/10 for Naruto standards.
Villain is forgettable.Movie is 60-70% romance.the movie begins with him being oblivious of his love for Hinata.Sakura tries to push Hinata as she is too shy to approach Naruto.But it doesnt work and the beginning is mostly Hinata just plain shy.Then insert some NH scenes like on the bird,helping her up,drinking wter and Hinata knitting scarves the entirety of the movie.Then Toneri's genjutsu where Naruto sees all of Hinata memories and finally realises his love for her.Then Hinata falls into Toneri's hands and he falls in love with her.A classic damsel in distress scenes.Then some action,Toneri tries to commit suicide,Naruto saves him and then insert 2 kisses.Movie over
Movie basically explains how NH happened and the villain is just a plot device for it.If you are in it for hard core action,this isnt for ya.A 5/10 for me

Secondly his 1 minute were the most bad ass in the whole movie.Nothing Naruto did apart from that epic punch came close
Thirdly,if you had bothered to read my post I mentioned this movie is for people who wanna know how NH happened because Sasuke reciprocated in the manga unlike Naruto who required two more years so it's obvious you would rate it a 9/10.If people don't like Hinata or the love story the rating will drop.That doesn't mean someone is rustled otherwise you are undermining the concept of critics

Yeah doesn't sound like my thing also it doesn't make naruhina believable if naruto just randomly falls in love with her by seeing her memories, though the whole pairing has been full of shit since day 1.
So apparently neither Naruto nor Kurama broke out of that genjutsu because Naruto wanted to see his memories. In that case, I think any Uchiha genjutsu solos Naruto with reality simulation. By this I mean that Naruto can be given images that he is fond of and wouldn't want to let go of those images hence he wouldn't want the genjutsu to end. This could be a great way of beating him with just genjutsu even if he is capable of breaking it.
I don't think you understand. Sharingan/Rinnegan Genjutsu works by the user inserting their presence into the targets psyche and manipulating them. Naruto became immune to Sharingan/Rinnegan gen because if anyone invades his psyche now they'd have to deal with not only all nine bijuu but Naruto himself who will most likely go KCM/BSM or RSM if need be. I'm no genius but, Nine Bijuu + RSM Naruto = GG Invader

I agree, I was totally disappointed after watching the movie, it was just plain filler (felt like it, I know it's canon).
But the most unforgivable thing they did to Hinata was when she fell (was dropped, slipped ?) and the scarf got stuck on the nail and she suddenly forgot how to use chakra and walk on walls like a normal ninja would. That scene made her look pathetic, it's just sad that they had to do that just for the sake of a ship.

Toneri sucked her chakra away and she became weak. She even states that herself that she could not move. XD
