Trapped.NET
As you logged into your Narutobase accounts to mingle with all of your friends. You see that there is a notification that you neglected to check. When you open the notification, your screen turns white leaving you comatose....What really just happened was that you were abducted. Locked in a virtual world within Trapped.net. You can look around and see avatar representations of all your fellow forum users. The possibilities are now endless....
In this virtual world, you are given a choice.... There are various skill sets and factions you can choose from.... The only problem being... the moment you make your choice... The CPU then spawns you in a random spot outside of the town safety zone. You must use your previous knowledge of anime, manga, and of course Video games to survive and return back to Town. It is up to you to figure out exactly how you will survive... Will you use cooperation.... or will you carve out a glorious trail of badassery... The choice is yours... and the way back home is gone....
Factions
As soon as you are "logged into" Trapped.net you are given a very important choice... How will you fight? How will you survive? This Virtual world is adaptive and cruel. There is no one faction that has a better chance of survival than the other. That being said.... Each faction has their own fighting style... As a player, you are not bound by loyalty to a single faction... Factions are simply schools of self defense. In Trapped.net Factions are the hub where you may receive objectives, learn special skills and buy class specific armor and weapons.
Ranger faction: As a Ranger... You will rely on bowed weaponry as your primary means of self defense. Your first weapon is a choice between a short bow or long bow, and your secondary weapon is a choice between a dagger or one handed axe. As a ranger, you have access to Trapped.net's databanks in reference to it's fauna, flora and natural landmarks. You granted higher points of access as you rank up, giving you access to knowledge on more fighting and healing techniques (herbal medicines) and also the possibility of Rare encounters with legendary creatures. High tier Rangers may also be called upon to join Order of the Great Hunt.... A secret society of Elite Hunters. Rangers are exceptionally stealth and must adhere to wearing relatively light and medium armor. Rangers also have the ability to call upon an animal partner for help in battle. (obtainable after ranking up).
Warrior faction: As a Warrior... You will rely on close combat as your primary means of defense. Your first weapon is a choice between a sword and shield, or a battle axe. Your secondary weapon is a choice between a secondary short sword, or dagger. As a warrior, you are then given access to Trapped.net's databanks in reference to close quarters combat techniques. Your security clearance rising as you rank up, giving you access to much more deadly techniques and equipment. You may even become a disciple of The Grand Master, granting you access into the Order of the Divine Fist. Warriors can wear light, medium and heavy armor depending on their preferred combat style. Ranged Weapon training can be accepted if taught by a Ranger. ( Clearance of C rank or higher required)
Mage faction: As a Mage... You will rely mostly only spells, and incantations.... Your first weapon is a choice between a Destructive, Illusion, or Restoration Magi. Magi costs mana or ki to cast, meaning you must be very careful in battle, leaving yourself completely drained will lead to short life. Your secondary weapon is a choice between a Dagger or Staff. (Entry level or Rank E can only cast 4 spells a day) As a mage, you are given access to Trapped.net's databanks in reference to historical events, alchemy, and spellcraft. As you increase in rank, you are given access to higher level spells and earn the ability to use multiple schools of Magi and utilize more spells in a day. High Ranking Mages can even be inducted into the Order of the Mind's Eye. Mages must wear light armor or robes (the robes can provide buffs to your spells, higher ranking robes obviously have greater effects)
NOTE!!! Ranking up is achieved by completing feats, defeating enemies, and achieving objectives. Ranking up can only be approved by moderators and of course myself. Once you have ranked up to B Rank, You will be allowed access into a cross training program... Which will allow you to take on the teachings and abilities of a different faction.
Rules on PVP
As we all know, PVP can get a bit messy sometimes, I just have a few very simply rules....
1! First person I see attempt to one shot a person... getting thrown in cyber detention. We have all done it at least once, but let's not ruin the atmosphere or the friendships by getting ahead of ourselves.
2 Take turns, If you are battling someone, I want a turn based combat. That means giving someone the proper amount of time to respond. Do not spam the thread,
3 if there are any discrepancies with the outcome of a battle, A Mod or myself with step in and call it.
4 if you die, don't sweat it. You get to come right back. All that happens is that you lose all experience that was going towards the next level, or you can pay currency. There may even be a rare occasion where you get to "cheat" death. Scattered through out Trapped.net are cheat codes, perhaps one will even allow you to get away from the Reaper Program. That would lead to you keeping your xp and currency.
