For the past few months (since naruto manga ended), I've been posting 100% of my threads in the naruto discussion. I've had some mixed responses from mods (some merely commenting on my actions, others infracting me and trashing all of my recent threads), however thats not what I'm here to talk about.
Narutobase is a small community now. Regardless of the registered users (and non registered users), the daily active members (role player nonwithstanding) is very VERY small. Gone are the days where general discussion would have a couple hundred people viewing it. Typically, every section besides naruto discussion has dwindled to the single digits. So save for the handful of people who view threads soley from the "recent threads" section, you will seldom get any views, let alone discussion on a topic.
I'm a member of a good few forums. The reason i come here rather than say, narutoforums (which if i'm being honest, has much better modding and is a better community overall) is because there aren't a crazy number of forum sections. My thoughts can get heard better. But now that our numbers are shrinking, several sections don't behoove long discussions. I haven't seen a non naruto related thread go beyond 1 page in a long time.
We really NEED to remove the various sections from narutobase. We just don't have the numbers. If you post something about art, you're not likely to get any comments. at all.
So i propose, we reduce our numerous sections to just 3. Naruto discussion (manga, anime, fanfiction, etc), Non-naruto discussion (other anime, tv, personal stories, erotic encounters, you get the idea, an all purpose non naruto section), and role playing.
Unfortunately, the single worst thing about this base is response from the powers that be. It is impossible to get any sort of formal response from anyone. Any news about the site. any info on the comings and goings. I mean sure, pm a mod, you get an answer, pm a gmod, you get an answer, you can usually even hear from admins, but admins usually still don't know about whats going on. Its difficult to know if your feedback is getting heard.
I want some response from YOU guys though. What do you think should be done about our member # problem and threads not getting viewed?
