Yes. But you are giving Amaterasu feats it does not have. Amaterasu does not destroy like regular fire, it erodes over-time. If it touched Naruto's skin at that level it needed time to fully burn his skin/clothes off.

Amaterasu is the weakest MS technique.They later on dropped it against higher tier opponents though because they have far better things up their sleeve.The Kabuto fight is case in point.A lot of MS techniques were spammed by both Sasuke and Itachi but they didn't use Amaterasu as they knew it wouldn't work against SM Kabuto

It does act great when you want a defensive barrier or your opponent to stop following in their tracks

Yes. But you are giving Amaterasu feats it does not have. Amaterasu does not destroy like regular fire, it erodes over-time. If it touched Naruto's skin at that level then it burnt the skin on his arm, preferably the clothes on his body first, then the Kyuubi chakra took it away.

you're missing the point. It not what Naruto blocked it with. It the fact that he blocked Amaterasu, a jutsu that suppose to hit the target INSTANTLY. Raikage dodge DUE to SPEED! This mofo Naruto block it with chakra cloak out of nowhere with no warning sign. I know he can sense, but I know he can't sense chakra building up in Sasuke's eye. That's why it is bullshit!

Obito was able to block it because he saw Sasuke building up chakra in his eye. That shit made sense.

That part 1 amaterasu was damn legit that jiraiya had to break out a seal to get rid of it.

yeah naruto can sense a person but naruto can't sense a person building up chakra in their eye like that. That's basically isolating sensing.

It's power in part 2 was always inconsistent. A single Amaterasu managed to fully engulf a transformed Eight Tails within several seconds, but fails to burn through Karin's clothing/Samurai armor/Ay's arm in a greater amount of time.
