If Kimimaru wins, it's due to bone forest. That's the only obstacle, and it's not even a given for him. In CQB, Kimimaru really can't handle 2 of them at once, even with the curse mark.

This is a bad match up. Gentle fist is a very good counter against the bones since it'll destroy them. Remember Kidomaru's webs? Gentle fist can destroy things made out of chakra.

Now note, I'm not using hyperbole. I'm not assuming anything made of charka can be beat by gentle fist. However, Kimimaru's bones most likely operates on the same principles as Kidomaru's webs.

Kidomaru's webs are formed by using chakra to manipulate his body fluids. Kimmimaru uses chakra to manipulate his calcium. They're similar concepts, so it stands to reason that gentle fist can either be used in the same way to destroy Kimmimaru's bones, or to turn them into ordinary bones.


Needless to say, Hyuga duo has a higher probability of winning.

And they dont have a counter to bone forest. Rotation will not work because the bones will come from the ground stopping any footing Neji does for rotation.

Given that her taijutsu ranked 3.5, she was already above average by the time of the Itachi Pursuit arc. After that, she displayed Air Palm, Twin Lion Fists, 64 palms and 64 Twin Lion palms, all which show her taijutsu, especially the last two, increased drastically. And given that she was able to fight off the same puppets in the last that Base Naruto was struggling with, without Byakugan mind you, I'd say her taijutsu is near Kimimaro's level.

I'd mention the boost she'd get from her Rikudo chakra, but I know you'll just off hand that as fanfic, so I'll leave it at that.

What do you mean by that? If he begins to spin after sensing/seeing Bone Forest incoming, the chakra that is protecting him from below will be able to block the bones coming up.

Bones are organs, buddy. Besides, bones getting in the way has never been an issue for gentle fist to attack organs like the heart or lungs, and given that we saw Gentle Fist can affect bones as well, this means nothing

The bones coming out of the ground will destroy the ground, the base Neji is using for rotation. To keep rotation going he needs to be moving his feet in a circular motion.

Rotation keeps Neji safe, it does not stop the ground under it from being destroyed.

They won't be able to do that if he starts spinning before the bones destroy his base for spinning, given that it would knock the back or destroy them as soon as they touch the chakra.

Also, there's still ample room between the bones that emerge from the ground, so Neji could still find space to spin if that even were to be the case. Moreover, this technique was only shown being used through Curse Seal mode, which, as I've said to you before, could be shut off with gentle fist.

Seems pretty roomy to me, the distance between the bones is enough to fit in a human, As shown two pages before the one you provided. Even in the one you've shown, there's still room between them

And considering that the bones come out of the ground starting from Kimimaro's location, moving outward, Neji would have time to start spinning.

Also, Rotation eats away at the ground, so it would still give him a base, even if the bones were to damage the ground he's on. And as I've said before, Kaiten can be used in the air as well, given that we've already seen Neji spinning in mid air. Problem solved.

I guess this depends on whether or not an extra layer of bone under the skin would minimize the damage from gentle fist or not. I'm not too well versed on Hyuga. Good point in the bold.

I would like to point out I was not saying Kimi would best them in CQC, but had the capabilities to defend himself until bone forest came out. A drunk Lee got the upper hand on him, who Neji is superior to.

Bone Forest is a problem tho.
