He probably thought that his ice training might not be safe for her so left her out. Also it's a shonen so writers are usually prude and not write Romances till the end.

The chapter was decent overall, not all that happy with eh way BN was taken out, but I guess it couldn't be helped, on the other hand I'm now hyped for the other characters, if Hiro only power up Natsu... yeah I'd be pissed. Still what got my attention bar Loki's line was the last page, sue me for being happy

Well he was showing darker side of him at the end of last arc. I hope he has a darker+mature+considerate character development, rather than darker+edgy+jerk side.

And I'm really getting tired of that, especially if it's forced....now maybe if his demon slayer powers was the cause of it, then I would be alright with it-sort of.

Why is everyone coming with only assumption that Gray left Juvia and that is the reason for her current appearance ?.I agree that is the normal scenario anyone one can think.Next chapter's title is also known as Black Magic's Cult(Avatar) but for some weird reason MP only translated 'Avatar' part and left remaining part.Now coming to the chapter's title we are familiar with what is Black magic ?.Obviously in next chapter Natsu and Co. are going to where Juvia is.I suppose Juvia is being manipulated by someone or acting like being of part of whatever that Black Magic's community is.I think she is trying to gather information about E N D while Gray is off for training.I doubt there is a conflict between Gray and Juvia after all the commotion between them at the end of Tartarus arc.

Also I find it weird that Juvia isn't using Umbrella in that gloomy rain.Juvia being a Rain Woman back in manga always used umbrella when she is outside in the rain.But now she isn't.There must be something to it and also I don't see Teru Teru Bozu anywhere in the Juvia's Panel.I doubt that all of that is an act by Juvia to gain something.That is my take on it.

I think part of what’s really disappointing is the fact that after 416, we all thought Gray and Juvia would be travelling the world together, training, and researching END, and being a badass power couple.

I for one felt so sure that Juvia was happy and thriving over the past year. But what if she was in that village the entire time, just as sad and lonely as Lucy was?

I just want to point out here that I’m not blaming Gray. There’s a decent chance that he has nothing to do with this.

But my main question for now is how did we get from here

It doesn’t make sense.

This is where the optimistic part of my brain, the one that usually clouds my judgment as a reader, has been going to work. Chapter 424 is called Avatar. As we all know, an avatar is an icon or figure meant to represent a certain person (usually in an online game).

So, doesn’t that mean there’s a chance that Juvia isn’t actually in that village? Could it be that she, or Gray, or someone else entirely, had a reason to create a decoy Juvia? What if someone is trying to lure the old Fairy Tail members into that village?

Alright, I’m done wildly theorizing now lol.

The only characters I can see rivaling Natsus power are Laxus, Gajeel, and Gray. The only 3 that went of to train on their own and specifically wanted to get stronger.
And of course Gildarts who've we've yet to see his ultimate power and how strong he's gotten as well.

wow i think hiro is back with a bang.The previous arc was epic and now he is trying to make even better.
Natsu's parallel with gildarts is really epic for me.
Its good we got wendy back and next is juvia.
Natsu is now gildarts 2 version of FT
I think makarav will die and natsu or laxus will lead the new fairytail.
I think hiro will save gray and erza for now they will be revealed after all other members are back.

For that I am not so sure about that.But the bandage on Natsu's arm sure is suspicious.I think what is underneath that bandage is some Tattoo like this.

The guys in the middle are just regular chumps and the guy on the left was the monster tamer, but for some reason I get the impression Hiro made the guy much more detailed than he does normally for random chumps. On the other hand he seems not detailed enough to be special. Kinda odd.

1. We didn't see Natsu going all out either (he said he didn't even get warmed up) and we can already see he got much stronger, Wendy didn't even get closer to enduring BN's gravity since the 1st time they fought
