This looks great!

It's 100% free if you just want to mess around with it. The only time you have to pay is if you release a game using the engine, you have to pay a 5% royalty after the first $3000 you make. Still, for education this is an amazing tool. I'm about to download it now. What do you guys think?

That is absolutely awesome they'd put that out for feee! If only I had something good enough to run it on, I think I'd have a blast experimenting

I just find it amazing how every different game engine has something unique to it, separating it from the others. Weather it's the graphics of the engine, the fluidity or the lighting, or it could even be the small things that add up to the engines own uniqueness. But, what I find even more spectacular is that with everyone new game engine the developers make, it just keeps getting better and better. 2014, was a good year for games, filled with ton shit of excitement and the graphics were unique, now we have this year, the big 2015 which is going to improve everything all over again, making the games better. I just wonder when we're going to hit the limit.. not going to lie, but I already thought 2014 was the year that would set the limit for the games.

Well they didn't have much choice to be honest. Seeing as how Unity and Cry Tech made their leaps in the territory quite some time ago, Unreal Engine kinda fell back. Altough they kinda picked the wrong time to do this especially since Valve also announced it's own Source Engine 2 is soon gonna be available for free. Not to mention, SE2 is completely free unlike UE wich makes you give 5% profit to them in case your game earns more than 3-4000 a year. With SE2 the only restriction is that you'll have to upload the game exclusevilly on Steam, but it's not that bad since you would want it there anyway.
Regardless, this is really good news for indie developers who are low on resources and are having a hard time with graphic restrictions of Unity.

I expect the gaming to level out after VR(Virtual Reality). After they perfect that I can't imagine what comes next. VR has been what we've all been looking forward to for so long. Online VR gaming seems to be the bar for now(Like SAO).

Oh true right here, I completely forgot about the VR's, how did I blank it out like that haha. Have you heard of the Valve's virtual reality headset they are working on? I think it's gonna top off the others.

Yeah it looks promising. I just hope they don't slack off with the graphics. I expect them to be top notch.

I think the graphics are going to be mediocre. This is everyone's first experience so the graphics are bound to be kind of medium, I would be very surprised if the graphics were on point.

I guess I'm just hoping for a lot. The first generation of headsets will probably just be 'meh' graphics. After that the second or third should focus on graphics and connectivity via the internet.

Hmmm can't say precisely when it could be perfected but the potential is there.
Yup and I can't wait to be able to play games like Log Horizon or Sword Art Online.

Imagine playing a zombie game? Imagine playing battlefield 4? Imagine playing COD? I'm telling you, when this become a thing, bye bye controllers.
