Once upon a time Anko was his favorite female. And we all know how he used her since the Forest of Death arc. Shows up in flashback as Hiruzen is dying, makes her first appearance in Part 2 during the Pein Invasion. Gets negged by Kabuto off panel. Is comatose through the war, and finally shows up a chubby chick in the epilogue.

Another tale of mangaka clashing with their editors.
Toriyama got his nuts bruised by his editors during the Android/Cell saga.
Toriyama wanted the Androids who destroyed Trunks' future to be #19 and #20. You know, the old man and the fat albino. His editors made him change it to the inf energy #17 and #18.
Then when Cell showed up, it was the editors who told him to change Cell's design to look more like Frieze. The bug form was ugly and the big lipped second form looked stupid to them.
Also SSJ2 was the editors idea. Originally Gohan was going to get really, really pissed and blast Cell to dust in his base form. The editors made Toriyama make Gohan a SSJ and later SSJ2 through rage.
If you want to see what happens when the editors don't intervene, look no further than the Buu Saga. Toriyama had a lot more creative control on the story and characters and it showed.
Gohan going to HS. For no reason
Gohan being a superhero. For no reason.
Gohan being weak enough that his 7 year old brother can give him a hard time. For no reason.
The terror of the universe, said by the Kai's to be a thousand times more powerful than frieza! Is a fat, pink, bubble gum monster, wearing yellow rain boots, a diaper, a purple cape and a phallic appendage on his forehead that turns people in to candy.
And this creature was meant to fight an 8 year old fused Saiyan with super long blonde hair and no eyebrows (SSJ3's look).
Clearly this was a story Toriyama had inside of him that he NEEDED to get out.
All for Toriyama to change his mind at the last minute and make Goku the hero... Again.

Toriyama admitted that he didn't know what the heck he was writing himself and made up the story as he wrote it and he admits it doesn't make sense.But DBZ set out to to be just a over the top action manga with not much story aspect to it but it excelled while staying to its roots.Naruto tries to be complex but with the wide disparity of power scaling between Part 1 and and the Last it never quite succeeded in sticking to its ninja theme
Sometimes when I am having a bad day I can always count on DBZ fights and movies to lighten up quickly.Naruto is deeper but can't quite match on the fun scale but that's just my opinion

Kishi switches between favorites every now and then, he once said Itachi was his fav Akatsuki member but now it's Hidan. Says Anko was his fav then now it's Hinata. He doesn't stick to one character all the time.
Ot :Kishi simply said that he does not like that Sasuke gives him a lot of trouble while writing him, since he is not so "obedient".

Maybe he says that because it is difficult for him to try and write about a character who is rebellious, not because he doesn't like Sasuke

No I agree with you. It's easier to drop in anywhere with DBZ or DB (like those young Goku fights @ the Budokai) and just loose a few hours. The fights were epic and fun. Even if the anime stretched them out some of the time.
Naruto is deeper but it isn't paced as well I think. A lot of feels like padding for time and whenever Kishi needs the plot to move characters are given power ups that help move the plot forward. The DB characters demonstrate they can fight and coordinate their techniques with others in order to make the fights more exciting.

Gohan, Krillin, Yajirobe and Goku vs Ozaru Vegeta
Krillin, Gohan and Vegeta vs The Ginyu Force and later against Frieza before Goku arrived.
Before DBZ became the SSJ show. Which was needed to stay relevant.
The movies also have a lot of team fights that are a lot of fun.
Naruto has a team aspect but it's usually one person doing the fighting while the others hang back and watch.

It's not about him not liking Sasuke. Kishi just doesn't like drawing Sasuke because it takes more effort than the other characters. He also said that Sasuke is the most troublesome to draw because of the different things that he goes through with his changes.
I don't think he literally says that he doesn't like Sasuke. This just means that Kishi puts a lot of development into him, which proves that he is not a boring character, as many like to say.

Sasuke is such a complex and interesting character that even Kishimoto cannot handle completely. That's good.
