Except Kakashi's eye does not revert back to a normal eye when he closes it, since it's not his, meaning even when his eye is closed, it's always in an activated sharingan state. So no, a dojutsu does not deactivate when the eys are closed, as Kakashi's eyes to not revert back to a normal eye. Kakashi is simply able to save chakra through not using it's precog/chakra seeing abilities.

That's what I tried to say, Kakashi couldn't turn off the sharingan as well as Sasuke couldn't turn off the Rinnegan, that's why they used to close their eyes, to not waste their chakra by using it. The logical conclusion is that by closing their eyes they avoid to use the doujutsu's techniques.

But dodging is not a proof that Hyuuga is resistance toward ganjutsu if you mean dodging a Ganjutsu equal to resistance.

Yeah Hyuuga can sense and try to escape or dodge the Genjutsu attack but if they failed to avoid it or escape they will trap inside Ganjutsu. That is mean resistance toward Genjutsu for them is non exist.

Resistance to Ganjutsu mean when Itachi attacking you by using a Ganjutsu for example, that attack will not effect you whether you aware or not.

Seeing through objects is a technique as well and it consumes chakra, so probably by closing their eyes they can't use X-Ray vision too.

Just a few points

1st - You sound like a dumbass

2nd- You probably are

3rd- Byakugans don't deactivate when the user blinks or closes their eyes. The user can still see all around them in a near 360 manner minus their blind spot. And it would be stupid if it deactivate all the time every time they blinked. Sharingan's don't deactivate either in the blink phase. Kakashi and Sasuke closed their eyes to reduce the chakra the eye is using for precognition and analyses. Although it still uses chakra even when they close their eyes, it's just that it uses a lot less.
