Which is ironic because Sasuke is supposed to be a "genius", however he's portrayed like an idiot and is completely outclassed by other geniuses. Kakashi was jounin at 13, Itachi ANBU captain at 13, graduated Academy at like 6, Tobirama was inventing jutsu, Orochimaru has his own realm.

you failed to mention the part where Sakura saved Sasuke from getting stomped by Gaara.

As well, everyone thought that Naruto was going to be the next Rikudou Senin and Sasuke was going to have no part in the prophecy, yet he was one to help save everyone.

seeing as though Hagoromo made 0 mention about there being a 2nd person that was going to unite the bijuu and save the world alongside Naruto, he didn't. Hagoromo basically told Kakashi and Sakura that the fight was about Naruto having to save the world...starting with Sasuke.

No one thought Sasuke would awaken PS, yet he did.

the DB says otherwise, because the jutsu's article and Madara's article says he's the only PS user in the clan's history.

No one thought Sasuke was comparable to Naruto in power, yet he fought along side Naruto, proving to be close in power.

and Sasuke wasn't. He continually got neg diffed by Kaguya and needed the 9 bijuu's power just to be comparable to KCM Naruto. And this is all while he already had chakra that Hagoromo handed him on top of that.

Everyone thought Naruto was far ahead of Sasuke and that he would stomp Sasuke, he was even given better feats against Kaguya, yet it ended up in a tie at V.O.T.E 2.

the words "i lost" is the same as saying "i quit", therefore there was no tie. There was a clear indication that someone won and lost. It just comes down to whether or not whoever saw the incident in question can accept it or not.

So as you can see, Sasuke has always been the one people doubt, both in the manga and out of it. He has been the true underdog for the majority of Shippuden, proving people wrong. Even now people underestimate him.

one can't simply be called an underdog when they have been lauded as a genius the whole way through the story in some form or fashion by various ppl. Naruto has been compared to Sasuke virtually the whole way through by readers and characters alike and not the other way around, so idk how anybody could even think this.

Im gonna pitch in my thought on the topic since i didn't do so before, When it comes to Naruto vs Sasuke, there was no true under-dog. People who liked Naruto thought Naruto was gonna win and people who liked Sasuke thought Sasuke was gonna win, they both had equal chances of winning every battle they fought. The question is only answered when the fight is over and the victor is decided, like in VoTe 1, Sasuke won and in VoTe 2, Naruto won. However they both had equal chance to win in both battles.

And about that SM Part, Sasuke also said that he wanted Itachi's eyes so he could fight Naruto, so they both cancelled out each-others statements there.

And you act like Sasuke is the only one who people doubt, there were many who were doubtful whether Naruto would win in VoTe 2, yet he did. Deciding who's the actual underdog between these two is only going to be from personal opinion, as many thought one was going to lose while many thought the other was going to lose. In my opinion, its balanced.

Bringing up VOTE battles is underrated. No one thought Sasuke was going win, until he activated his Curse Mark. No one thought Naruto was going to win, but then Naruto activated his kyuubi chakra. No one thought Sasuke was going to win, yet he activated his Third Tomoe Sharingan.

It was obviously in no one's favor. Until Sasuke took the Bijuu chakra, then Naruto had to match his power.

During the fight is not what matters because during the fight is after people already make their judgements. Before V.O.T.E 1 and 2, Sasuke was the one people thought was going to lose. In part 1 he had worse feats and felt inferior after seeing Naruto's Rasengan. At that point no one knew what would happen if they clashed, so one would assume Rasengan was more powerful because of Sasuke's reaction.

Before V.O.T.E 2 we see that Naruto has more feats as well as the MC status. Even I thought that Sasuke had a slim chance of even getting a tie.


It's not about what is happening in the fight, but what people think before they even get to fight. Naruto was the underdog in part 1 because no one thought he would win.

I agree that neither of them are underdogs at all when compared to others. I disagree with the reason. Even those who like Sasuke's character nore than Naruto found that it would be farfetched to think he would win against the MC. Naruto hardly ever has someone who doubts him because he's the MC and they always win, well almost always.

Its the same the other way around too though, Some people who like Naruto more than Sasuke thought that Sasuke would win against Naruto. We can't really be sure about who's the true under-dog unless someone spent their entire life looking for every known Naruto fan and asking who they thought would have won the battles. But since obviously no one is going to do that, as i said before, they are both balanced.

Frankly Sasuke's potential outweighed Kakashi's, and he wouldn't really benefit much from what he had to offer.

read my post again. I said Hagoromo made 0 mention of Sasuke of being part of the prophecy he was told. Nowhere did i say anything about Hagoromo not thanking Sasuke for helping in undoing MT. I don't recall Hagoromo making any mention of Sasuke at all when he alluded to the prophecy Naruto was supposed to fulfill when the bijuu showed up in Naruto's subconscious. And even before that, Nagato was the only other person that was mentioned to have had such a key role in that prophecy.

Futon rasengan is still rasengan, it's actually what a complete rasengan is. It just funny how Naruto never uses the superior technique, superior to both chidori and rasengan (incomplete).
