Read the original post.Guys, Zise and I keep fighting about this. I think you're going to have one less admin soon.
Dude come on it's obviously white and gold
I know right? I made Zises' name 'gold'.Read the original post.
It has already been confirmed to be white-gold.
I have an explanation for thisColor codes doesn't lie. It's far from white and far from gold. It's more of a violet blue and brown. And it's not first of April yet.![]()
The explanation is that you are colorblind to some degree. As we all know the colors come from light rays as you say and we have the prisma and spectrum of colors. All colors on your screen can be created with a combination of RGB and HEX codes. And if you take majority of the colors of the dress you will see that most of the dress has more blue color than anything else, while we know that white would be 255 of each RGB color, it doesn't reach that at all, it's not even close to be white but grey if they would all match up, however they don't cause the blue color is way stronger than both red and green. So while our eyes all interpret the colors differently the color it supposed to be a type of blueish.I have an explanation for this
The reason is because of the mood...if our mood changes the cells in our eyes become sensitive and change the way light is reflected..this causes a change in the color contrast and we sees the dress as black and blue or white and gold depending on the mood
This experiment was made nicely to the point it reacts to the smallest change in the eye contrast thus changing the color of the dress
This happens in real life too but its too small to notice and we are just used to it
Nicely done experiment!!
I see it as white and gold
Oh my explanation was someone from twitter who apparently is a scientist ..and he has won the explanation for that and also he got the most votes in tht twitter one..there are many explanations circulating including the one i said..there are the biological explanations...the technical explanations but we still didnt find out the real explanation and i am not sure which one is the real explanation so i supported the one which was in twitterThe explanation is that you are colorblind to some degree. The top right corner of the picture is white in that sunray or whatever source of light that is.
Yes its nothing to do with color blindness..as i said in the previous post my cousin saw the dress yesterday as blue and black but today he saw it as gold and white..even some friends of mine changed suddenly after seeing it for a couple of hours and then checking it againI can see a kind of white/gray and gold color. And it's original color is white and gold. Color blindness has nothing to do with this I think. I read somewhere that it depends on what colors people are used to see daily. Supposing someone that lives lock and without light he'd obviously see black and blue, due to the fact that he was exposed to dark colors. On the other hand, asking someone who is exposed to light more, sees white and cold.
I don't know how true is this, but to some degree I agree. So, an advice to the guys who see balck and blue. Get off from your PC and have a walk outside to take some fresh air and a bit of sunlight Lol.
If the original color is white and gold, then the colors has gotten twisted by the camera. The dress is by definition more blue than anything else in the picture. Look it up yourself. The RGB colors differs a whole lot, and blue is the main color and that's a fact. Since people see the picture differently, it has all the things in the world to do with colorblindness, and that some people have a hard time seeing this violet blue color and see white instead as there is no type of optical illusion at play.I can see a kind of white/gray and gold color. That still doesnt explain why someone saw it as black and blue first and after a couple of hours checked it again and saw it as gold and white...this happend to many people...like yesterday my bestfriend saw it as white and gold and today he saw it as black and blue..this is weird and i think the mood explanation i said kinda is connected to this oneIf the original color is white and gold, then the colors has gotten twisted by the camera. YES! this exactly!! this is somehow connected to the cells in our eyes and how it is reflected..im not 100% sure thoughOkay what the ****...
I came on this thread about 20 minutes ago, saw Blue and Black.
Then I watched a Youtube video on it and saw White and Gold... I was like "hmm... that's weird"
Then I come back on here and it's White and Gold now... WTF.
At least I'm not alone LolYES! this exactly!! this is somehow connected to the cells in our eyes and how it is reflected..
It does explain it perfectly fine, depending on contrast settings on your screen, and as you know if you change the angle of your screen the colors will change to a bit brighter or darker, which will also change the light received by your eyes. And one of these reflections made you see the dress white, and another blue. That still doesnt explain why someone saw it as black and blue first and after a couple of hours checked it again and saw it as gold and white...this happend to many people...like yesterday my bestfriend saw it as white and gold and today he saw it as black and blue..this is weird and i think the mood explanation i said kinda is connected to this one
