If everyone over the age of 20 disappeared...

If everyone on the earth over the age of 20 disappeared and reappeared 20 years later, what state would the world be in?

Would the worlds industrialization regress or cease to exist? (Electricity, ext..)

Will the ideal of government still be intact? (Any type of order).

A decrease in the population of those left behind due to rampage? (War, out of hand behavior, dumb decisions etc..)

Is their a Chance that the remaining population can reach some form of unity?

Circumstances..

1. No one left on earth will age during that 20 year time period.
2. Everyone left behind would be immune to any sickness or disease.
3. No procreation possible.

But that won't dictate the overall molding of this new world created, there isn't that much bud in the world.

It would be complete anarchy, like any other apocalyptic scenario. Groups would form, scavenging for food and resources. There would be territorial disputes and attempts at seizing power.

Rape and murder would be prevalent no doubt.

The inability to procreate would most certainly psychologically break us over time, especially women.

The youth in this world are sick of war because of this I think we'll be heading towards a Utopian or laid back society. Pop ideals and the "popular kids" will most likely be the new presidents and representative speakers. Kids who already have money due to their parents won't know what to do with it, most likely blowing it away on their friends. Weed would surely be legal and enthusiasts would promote it's distribution and growth.

We would be fine. There would still be Young Adults, who would do their best to keep order. At first, things would be chaotic and there would probably be conflict, but about 10 or so years in and they would start to establish governments. The modern human race has this awesome ability to adapt to difficult situations.

That depends on what sort of rules they establish. For all we know it could be another dictatorship. With no rules comes those seeking power.

The inexplicable disappearance of everyone else and the inability to procreate could lead to something like ritualistic sacrifices.

Sorry but people below age of 15 can not even take care of themselves (except Eastern societies which child workforce and early marriges occur more frequently) so all you late teens will be responsible for anti-aging babies and toddlers and kids for 20 years or worse leave them to die. ^¬^

So it will be a **** up with 70% of population being needy of care. The population that needs special care in our world is much smaller and the care givers are much more experienced and able.
