I think this page speaks volumes...
Naruto states he knew what sasuke was thinking. i think sasuke and naruto are on the same page now... i think naruto is going to help sasuke with his plan. i also believe that sasuke has been putting up a front, like his brother, to earn trust from the bad guys.

I believe sasuke expects that zetsu is ALWAYS around watching him. sasuke can't hold back or go easy or zetsu would report it to tobi and sasuke wouldn't get his EMS. i think pretty much everything sasuke has told tobi is meant to manipulate the akatsuki. sasuke knew what would happen if he used his MS and he used it a lot on purpose because he needed a reason to take itachi's eyes and being near blind is a pretty good reason... but having to fight naruto while almost blind is a perfect reason to take the eyes... so tobi would never suspect.
during and after the encounter with danzou, sasuke attacked karin and sakura. i think this was because he EXPECTED zetsu to be watching and needed to keep up the facade. i think it's possible that karin told sasuke, off panel, that she sensed 2 chakra sources and one huge chakra source behind them and gaining.
i think sasuke assumed the huge chakra source was naruto, though i'm not sure he could've guessed the other 2. in any case, with the info that karin had told him he was able to time his attack at karin with the arrival of the first 2 chakra sources. that way karin could get away and the spying zetsu would see that sasuke wasn't holding back.
i think sasuke timed his attack on sakura with the arrival of naruto... so naruto could stop him from killing her. again, sasuke maintains his facade in front of zetsu and sakura isn't hurt.
i think naruto and sasuke are working together now. naruto wants to be the only one to fight sasuke because sasuke would have to hold back against anyone else and his cover would be blown. only naruto has the power to make the fight look good. also i think the smile on sasuke's face after getting itachi's eyes is because he feels close itachi now.

Remember Pain keep an open mind to Naruto, that why Naruto was able to change His mind. But Sasuke at this time has close His mind to forgiveness,It's going to take more than words to change Sasuke. It's going to take sweat, Blood and Tears to begging a change of hearth, if it can happen.

I am also dissapointed Itachi's corpse did'nt just dissapear.
Well Madara probably gets the rinnegan along with EMS so Sasuke could'nt even hope to attack him.

Madara was right about Karin, she's going to fill in the village on all of sasuke's/madara's EMS secrets. I wonder what the Kyuubi's shakra is like inside Naruto, it must have something to do with Madara.
Naruto will probably go to speak with the elders about it, they may even know already all about the power of the EMS, either thru Kakashi, or from having seen madara originially. Excited to see if Naruto will return to Frog Land to do more training. I bet they have more secrets to be revealed. Perhaps he'll be able to more fully control the Kyuubi, that must be part of it somehow.

I agree that Itachi's chakra was what Karin felt... I think it is imposible to sense the kyuubi since it is sealed.... I mean Karin did not felt the same when they fought KB till beast form...

This was a good chapter. Some of my earlier predictions came true, even though I don't think there was much doubt about some of them. Sasuke did take Itachi's eyes after this fight, after learning that he needed the power to defeat Naruto. Tsunade did wake up too.
Ongoing predictions:
1) Karin will become a friend and ally of Naruto.
2) One way or another, I think Kakashi is still going to become hokage soon. I predict Tsunade will give up the title so she can focus on training naruto. Her and Kakashi would make a nice team as masters, but I doubt he will get both.
3) Kisame captures Killer Bee, and does it soon.
4) Madara is going to take the Rinnegan from Pain's body and give them to Sasuke.
I'm a little bit baffled that Naruto thought he wouldn't have been able to defeat Sasuke at that point. Even with help from Sakura and Kakashi? Sasuke was weak from several difficult battles in a row, Naruto was basically fresh. Sure, he did expend his natural chakra running to the battle and he hadn't had time to replenish, but was he still weaker than Sasuke at that point?
AND, Sasuke is getting stronger from the EMS?
We can debate the "who would win in a fight" question all day long, but let's look at these facts: Naruto says Sasuke would have won that fight, even in his weakened condition. Then, Sasuke got the EMS and now has more power. Naruto needs to train his ass off, and either gain some spectacular power boost or learn some kind of amazing new technique in order to get back in the running. I think the new training will have to start as soon as possible. Hopefully we will find out who will be his new master, and what new techniques he is going to learn next episode or within the next few.
I don't like that Naruto has to keep playing catchup. Almost every time we've seen them together, Sasuke has either been stronger, or the better fighter. In fact the last time we've seen Naruto with a power edge over Sasuke was their short scuffle on the roof when Naruto's new rasengan caused more damage to the water tower than Sasuke's chidori did. Eventually Naruto is going to have to get to the same Level as Sasuke, if not a little higher.

Disagree. Itachi wasn't evil. He appeared evil to people who don't know the story, but he was a good guy who loved his village and loved his brother. Itachi's power is not the evil that Karin sensed in him.
The fox is evil, and I don't see why Karin wouldn't have been able to sense that. The seal was specially crafted to allow the Fox's chakra to leak out and mix with Naruto's chakra. If the chakra can get out of the seal, Karin should be able to sense it.
Karin didn't sense evil in Killer Bee because the 8-tailed Ox isn't evil like the 9-tailed fox is. When we've seen the Ox in Killer Bee's consciousness, he has been nice, mild-mannered, and concerned about Killer Bee's wellbeing. The Ox is completely different from the Fox, the Fox is pure evil and Karin can sense that.

well to be fair, naruto didn't say sasuke would have won the fight. naruto said he couldn't "defeat" sasuke (

) which in reality leaves 2 possible outcomes.... 1. sasuke wins (as a few people seem to assume) or 2. they tie and both die (which is what naruto predicted and seems to be perfectly OK with.)

i know this is unrelated to manga discussion but ooooo i'm watching the new anime episodes and damn, itachi is so cool! the part where he meets naruto

I think this was an amazing chapter:
1. ninja alliance is official
2. karin is showing narutos light and the evil of the kyuubi
3. tsunades woken up but will kakashi still become hokage?
4. Sasuke got more power but naruto will have time to train as sasuke needs to become accustomed to it.
This is the kind of stuff ive been waiting for and i dunno just naruto seems rather awsome as a character right now xd
no worries, the closest thing we would get to fillers would be naruto doing silly things in myobokuzan during his sage training.
