The cycle of hatred theme shouldn't be attributed to Jiraiya, as it begun way before his time. Let's just say he was aware of it and passed what he knew on to Naruto. Jiraiya just gave Naruto an idea about what he should do in the direction of achieving peace. Kakashi, on the other hand stood by his side and guided him. The thing I like the most about their relationship is that Kakashi himself evolved along his student, something that can't be said about Jiraiya. At the end of the day, either one of the two can be seen as a more suited sensei for the protagonist, if looked upon from different perspectives.

But I believe that Jiraiya did evolve with Naruto, as he even commented that he shouldn't have given up with Orochimaru seeing Naruto's example with Sasuke.

Agreed, an on the topic of who had the most influence on Naruto I think Jiraiya's above even Minato, only second to Sasuke.

Oh I didn't notice those. I'd say:
1. Jiraiya, obviously.

2. Kakashi, although it's not as noticeable as Jiraiya's philosophy. However, I think Kakashi had more impact on Naruto in a more indirect way. Jiraiya influenced Naruto, whereas Kakashi guided him along the way.

the closest bond Naruto has had is Iruka. He was the one who recognized him as a human and not a jinchuuriki, and he knew tht a 1 tailed Naruto could whip his ass, but he still did it. Jiraiya was the second. B and kakashi are joined IMO

I still remember when he just wrote off Naruto and focused on teaching Sasuke and was surprised when Naruto learnt Rasengan even asked Jiraiya why he taught him Rasengan.EVen at the Rasenshuriken training commented "How did Jiriaya have the patience to teach the Rasengan to him" .He is honestly the person who underestimated him the most.The worst sensei by far

1. Who created the closest bond with him

2. Who taught him more about life in general (philosphy of life, life lessons, etc)

3. Who taught him more techniques, fighting styles and jutsus.

1) Jiraiya
2) Zabuza/Haku - They helped him create the very core of who he is - his nindo.
3) Jiraiya - Taught him Kuchiyose no Jutsu, Rasengan, Fuinjutsu and Odama Rasengan. Polished up his taijutsu and taught him how to dispel genjutsu.
