Yes, I like old Sepultura as well, mainly Beneath the Remains and Arise albums, but they aren't too known here, they are more famous in other countries. People here don't like too much rock/metal, it's an underground movement in Brazil ^^

I know Krisiun too, but I don't like. And you're from Germany, did you already went to Wacken Open Air? Many nice bands play there ^^

Sepultura went downhill after Max left, but they still deliver some amazing live performances, especially at Wacken.
But no, I haven't been there yet. I will try to buy tickets for 2016 since all tickets were sold minutes after the release for this year. It's pretty hard to get your hands on them xD.

I think Death Magnetic was decent to say the least. Haven't listen all but Unforgiven 3 did not shame its prior counterparts.

The problem is publicity i suppose, i know things turn into businness after a while but the soul is not there all much. Maybe they lost passion, idk. I don't even know what St Anger got grammy in any way.

I would love to go to Wacken, but I must work as a slave to have money enough to travel to Germany and buy the tickets this year xD

DM was okay, but nothing if compared to old Metallica. And yeah, they lost passion, Lars doesn't know to play drums anymore and James lost his amazing voice of old times.

Old Metallica has better compositions than Pantera in my opinion. They had more creative riffs, better rythm and lyrics.

Rythms perhaps, James hetfield is a nice rhythm guitarist, lyrically I believe it depends individually, Most people dislike slayer satanic imagery and lyrics, I don't however. Same for other bands like Pink floyd, deep purple, beastie boys, derek and the dominos, some might consider them boring and insipid, it all depends. In riffs pantera was quite better in my opinion, the art of shredding and 10's triumphs any metallica riff I've heard, the only thing that makes early metallica sound appealing was their bassist, cliff burton. It stood out. Dimebag darrel was a great guitarist .

That statement is like saying, "I don't really like milk, it's too milky for me so I drink milk instead." If Metallica isn't hard enough for you, I don't see how Pantera is much more extreme. You need to expand your metal repertoire. Try this:

You are wrong man. Pantera has a much better sound than Metallica ever had and the music is heavier in a different way. But i still dont prefer metallica even the old metallica anymore because i really dont like the band anymore. Yeah they did good things in the past but they really should stop writing songs. I wish Pantera could still be around because i enjoyed every single one of their albums and they got heavier with each one. Plus the best part was they sounded better live. Metallica even at that time didnt sound better live but they did sound the same. Good show dont get me wrong but its still like listening to the album

Lol i have heard this before and i do listen to almost every genre of metal. The only one i really dont like that much would be black metal.

It really depends. Some of that DSBM and NSBM is unbearably horrible. There are a lot of good classic BM and post-metal BM bands out there though. WiTTR is one of my favorites; they project so much atmosphere and energy.

I have listened to every WITTR album. God it was boring.

Most DSBM isn't that great. Absurd and Graveland is some good NSBM though.

As for Pantera? Lol I'll keep quiet on that or the Base gonna be flooded with tears.

Yeah im just not a fan of black metal man. I use to be when i was religious but after awhile that i started questioning life and reality that i stopped believing in any sort of diety's what so ever. Black Metal all of it is about the devil or Satan or whoever and for me to like that means that i like the devil when i don't like or belive in God. Its contradictory for me to like this genre or even listen to it. Personally my preference for metal will always be death metal. Its funny though because my wife LOVES black metal. So i guess yeah i am stuck with it Honestly one of my favorite band right now would be Hate Eternal
