Mother sings a lullaby,
her baby slowly stops crying and falls asleep
while abyss' laughter fades away.

Life comes, life goes
but the abyss is always there, laughing.
Yet mother's lullaby covers the ugly laughter
and so too baby's cry.

But mother, at some point, will stop singing
and the baby will become a fully grown-up person and will stop crying.
And once again, abyss' laughter will echo in human ears.

It's astonishing the amount of sounds a person hears everyday
and it's even more astonishing how unimportant those sounds have become.
In a society full of sounds, you would expect that abyss' laughter would not reach people.
So much noise, it would make perfect sense to cover it up completely.

A logical assumption to a logical question and yet you forget the funny part:
In such a noisy place, silence is the only distinguishable unheard sound.

The rest is... just noise; and some laughter in a silent night.
