[Discussion] Luffy vs Ussop vs Naruto

I am currently rereading OP and I am currently at Water 7 so I have a question.


Is there any moment in Naruto that has as much feels as the confrontation between Luffy and Ussop?

IMO their relationship in that one arc easily puts their relationship ahead of Naruto and Sauce.

So what is ur opinion?

just comparing the depiction of the Strong brotherly bond between the two characters from each series that I believe share the best bond and how much emotion was felt from the readers between the two series during times of confrontation :|

Anyway, the same brotherly bond was seen in Naruto in Lee and Neji, i think They hv a brotherly bond together

Trying to compare the relationships of those in One Piece with those in Naruto is kind of...well I don't want to say pointless, but rather hard to do as they are not the same.

Well Ussop's behaviour was selfish and childish. I felt part of the reason he didn't want to let go of the ship because he felt more of a personal claim on that one despite all the drawbacks in that situation. Later he acted as it was just fine to join them without accepting he was wrong. And that's why Zoro told Luffy to assert himself before letting the guy back on the ship. So I guess brotherly bond part was under my radar. Though I loved the chapter itself.

Nope. I pitied Ussop but didn't feel much sympathy with his reasoning.

The only thing close to a bond like that would be the feels at the end of the manga with Naruto vs Sasuke. Everything that has happened finally comes to a head and the end result is they both lose an arm.

Now if you are talking about overall feels from the manga then there are a couple of moments that surpass the duel between Luffy and Usopp, aka Jiraiya death, but the feels you have now are nothing compared to what is going to come in One Piece.


Also just an amv on the topic for those that haven't watched OP. The feels are strong.

Well I didn't feel much for the childish behaviour of Ussop. I tend to like childish behavior :| I mean we can't all be rational 100% of the time and if everyone acted like an adult being rational and thinking things through there wouldn't be problems and manga would be boring. Ussop usually puts on airs in a display of pride, but I think it as good to show Ussop being humble, he was in the wrong and he put his crew in a lot of pain because of his selfishness, but rather than a personal claim I think Ussop was just trying to run away from reality and that compounded with his own uselessness at the time kinda pushed him over the edge

This is how I have my fun what is so wrong with wanting to hear the different view points of others?

Btw, I sympathized with both Sasuke and Ussop's reasonings.

Not really IMO

Naruto vs Sasuke's final fight. Sasuke vs Itachi, and Obito and kakashi going back and forth are the only things that come to mind but they're not quite up there.
