P1MC did have wind, though. So if they go with the tradition of switching it up every time, Phantom could have Bufu (Ice) as his main. But then again, that doesn't fit too well with his Persona design, so who knows...
Edit: Wait, wtf am I saying. Both Tatsuya and Minato had Agi as their Persona's main element, so there isn't much of a "tradition" then...

Interesting thought, but I personally disagree. I truly believe they just pick an element at random. His Persona screams Fire/Agi more than anything.

With those visuals I honestly believe this might just become the greatest Persona game, although that could just be the hype talking.

In the trailer, a figure around 1:00 showed great resemblance to Nyarlathotep from Persona 1 and Persona 2.
Either way, it will probably be a ''Puppeteer-like'' character who controls everything from the shadows. Notice how the train guy was under control or something.
If they are vigilante, that must mean that this puppet master is a person, and he/she is somehow controlling shadows or demons that you mentioned in the real world disguised as persons, aka the train rider

As Naoya said, my money is on Nyarlathotep. If it isn't him, it's going to be someone with very, very similar characteristics. Nyarly is a master manipulator, and in P5 so far that seems to be what's happening on a large scale.

Another thing to note: According to the trailer the MC has the lowest SP out of all the revealed characters.
I might get a PS4 around the time Persona 5 releases though, considering it's still easily 6 months away.
I don't have a PS4 yet. There wasn't really any reason for me to get one up until now. I'm still not even done playing through my PS3 game collection.

Since, it's using the type of engine of Catherine. I thought of bring back a theory I had way back in FC.

The phone mechanic from Catherine would be a great addition, although I could do without as well. Nice if they add it. No big deal if they don't.

Roman gods (Mars, Jupiter, etc) seem like a possible choice. However, Tatsuya from P2 already had some as his starter/Ultimate Personas, so they'd have to work around that or incur my wrath for retconning Apollo/Vulcanus.
Actually, come to think of it... remember when I kept bragging that Tatsuya can stop time via his Persona? And remember how time stops in the first trailer we got? ...and since we're speculating that Phantom's going to have Fire as his main element...

Interview seems legit. I give it the Magatsu seal of approval~
This interview really gave a good look into the mood/atmosphere for P5. If they pull this off, it's going to be a very, very relatable story and it's going to hold a high place for a lot of people. Combine that with the fact that it's going to be an amazing JRPG and probably be extremely innovative, and the stage is set for it to be one of the greatest games of all time.
Love this bit, looks like I'm relating to the story already.
Nowadays, a lot of devs (especially Western devs) just want to print money and make some generic FPS games. So I think the fact that the Persona team is making it a goal to make a change in people's lives is pretty damn special.
Jummppinggg on the hype. This is the first time where I've really, really liked the protagonist of a Persona series. Too badass. That Phantom outfit, the alternate personality...
I am totally going to cosplay him. LOL.

Phantom was confirmed to have the Fool arcana. So why does it say "JOKER" on the dog tag (definitely not a reference to the Jester arcana)?
He seems to be going by the moniker "Phantom", but is it possible that he undertakes the name JOKER (from P2) to gain more controversy around his crimes? Since the police were investigating him canonically in the Persona timeline, and the general public knew/feared him.
