Was Bardock weak?

I seen the series and played most of the games he is one of my favs next to future Gohan but I remember in the games he's always been comparable to Frieza first form but now I'm starting to realize he's weaker than 1st form Frieza and by the looks of it also weaker than Nappa, raditz and even kid Gohan can someone convince me that he's stronger than what he really is and I heard somewhere that to beat Frieza he must got ssj3

Also there is a bardock special that's reveals himself as the first super saiyan.

Bradock is father of Goku,he has Good Super Saiyan DNA,All he had to do was turn good to Transform

He's the top of the low class saiyans. However he was getting a lot stronger.

There was a special about him going back in time before he was about to die. Turned out he was the first super saiyan and he killed Frieza's ancestor who spread the rumor of super saiyans.

You have to give him some credit for producing the strongest Saiyan though. Plus he died with dignity.

No bardock is stronger than naapa, raditz and kid gohan(saiyan saga) even before he became a super saiyan.

Bardocks power level was above 10,000 before frieza blasted him
Naapa's power level was only 4,000
raditz power level was only 1,500
saiyan saga kid gohan had a power level of 2,500(enraged)

Bardock is above them, but below saiyan saga goku and vegeta

thats still pretty good i say, in the dragon ball heroes they stated he reached SS2

so he isnt weak

I think you're thinking of Raditz.

No way, man. Bardock was considered a low level Saiyan, which is why Goku and Raditz were considered low level Saiyans. His power level wouldn't have been close to King Vegeta's. Vegeta had even said Bardock was a great scientist, but an average fighter. Maybe he hit 10,000 in Oozaru form.
