No wonder Obito and Madara considered it hell. Reasons the Naruto world is ****ed up:

1. Child soldiers - basically the entire premise of the manga

2. Legal slavery - the Hyuga clan's curse seal

3. Leaving a ninja village without permission is a crime punishable with death. So basically every ninja village is like North Korea. That includes Konoha, the "good guys".

4. A guy is considered a hero for committing genocide on his family.

I've always wondered during Part 1's Chuunin Exam, when they talked about how easily there are deaths among rookies, and that they may even fight to the death just to protect a village's honor, how the f*ck do their parents allow crap like that to happen to their children? I honestly can't imagine sending off my 12-year old boy/girl in a forest of death, or to get beaten to death by some other punk. I would've tried to burn down the village for even an injury (since there's absolutely no law and prosecution system) let alone my child dying. Like, seriously, what's their philosophy here - we can always make more babies?; it's for the Village's sake? What a load of BS.

Madara and Obito had the right idea - the world they lived in was messed up. Sasuke realized this, too. Hopefully the villages just made and stored weapons of mass destruction that are non-sentient and are currently living in peace, knowing that their country could blow up if that peace was breached - a.k.a 21st century.
