On a serious note, in my view it is impossible to explain (I doubt even kishi could do it, and he is her creator!). Sakura had a crush on him and despite the harsh rejections and his betrayal her feelings for him grew. It is quite and pathetic really.

She knew before everyone that Sasuke was going to leave Konoha. She knew that since Orochimaru said "Sasuke is gonna seek me" and there are many times in which Sakura remembers this.

He told her that he was willing to live a life in konoha if not for his goals cause he is not like her or Naruto and she understood when he said "you're annoying" after he had said he didn't remember the first time they met earlier, she understood he was lying about that, so she understands that darkness had taken over him and it was not his true self. She kept beliving in the Sasuke that came to care for his team.

He let her hug him, he said thank you to her, he was willing to give up his life for her, withdrew the cursed seal for her, praised her when he knew her confidence was low at the start of the chunin exams, stated that she was important to him, etc. I think Sakura knew that was the real Sasuke and pinned all her hopes on him returning to that state someday. She knew that part 2 Sasuke wasn't the real him.

...His looks may have helped a little as well.

I don't really understand what that has to do with Sakura loving Sasuke though. What exactly does Sakura love about Sasuke that begs the question "Why would she wait for him, cry for him, and try to even kill him to save himself from hatred?

We both know that "little" is a lot. Sakura was only interested in Sasuke for his looks in the beginning. I mean that's what kept it going until it evolved into her "understanding" his feelings or what-ever people try to come up with for this pairing.

It has to do since even if she may have fallen for him for his looks at first, she came to love him more with the dynamics of team 7 and by understanding that the real Sasuke was not like in part 2,that's all, it's how I view it at least. But as I said, it is not very clear.

Most pairings should have an established view point on one side, or better yet both sides on why they love each-other (or just have feelings). I just haven't seen the reason for this pairing yet. I mean I understand if she "understands" his pain and so forth, but most of their interaction was half done which led people to believe their pairing was over. It should of been developed clear like you said.
