In class, we were talking about this and if people should be okay with being watched or not. I, overall have no particular problem with this, but hey... it is what it is. The internet being this great couldn't all be for ''free''. If only the world were that good of a place. Lol

Not sure what would interest them so much about people living out their lives. I know it's just hypothetical, but it seems overboard for everyday folk rather than just having surveillance for potential terrorists.

If it were to be used for the right reasons, it could crackdown on a lot of crime, but I wouldn't count on that with the world we live in.

It seems a shame that it is only used to combat terrorism, personally I think child abuse is a worse problem and this system could really help is eradicating pervs

I recommend you to read this before you question my post, because i think you are quiet uninformed about this topic.

Oh no i am well informed, thats why i already know about those existing real mass surveillence systems.

However i am talking about a super AI MSS which focuses lies in the categorization of relevant (threats & deviants) and irrelevant (non-threat disregard). An open system that is fully targetable with more advanced functions, which would give it a mind of its own via its artificial intelligence capabilities.

It processes all of the data it is provided through video feeds, audio, and existing info, and is able to analyze, evaluate, and classify the information it processes.

Individuals are classified into multiple different categories: Threats are the individuals identified by the system to work against its mandates, Deviants are individuals that deviate from social norms, it is also able to generate predictions regarding the subject in question based on available data.

The profile of a threat is displayed from the programs viewpoint, including an individual's identity, current location in terms of latitude and longitude, mobile phone IMEI, as well as programs observations, conclusions, and recommended course of action; whether to detain, track, incarcerate or kill.

Once an individual is identified from video feeds, the program scans through several types of their records: medical history, media consumption, internet activity, personal relationships, and preferred mobile apps. It is also able to predict where the subject might be headed and which routes that person usually takes.

It is able to detect if an individual deviates from their route, as well as analyze and match their gait whilst simultaneously being able to read their biometrics and also able to recover data and reconstruct deleted files, such as surveillance footage.

Ofcourse no such system exists, but now do you get what im saying. Im well aware that yes we are being "watched" to a certain degree. But not by something with these capabilities.

Also this system will have anyone killed who figures out its existence before they can get the word out because of it predictive capabilities to preserve its survival.
