Multiple times throughout the film(i watched it 2times, 1 @theatres and 1 on the camrip floating about) its stated that Hyuga are Hamura's descendants(and that the main branch of the Hyuga clan are the pure descendants unlike the 2nd branch)In one instance Hinata outright states that only someone with Hamura's blood can touch the Tenseigan without getting their chakra drained. In another Toneri again states the Hyuga have inherited Hamura's blood during the info dump and flashback thus proving most of what Takl stated was bullshit. Ask anyone on this forum who actually watched the film.

CONCLUSION:

Hinata didn't get any chakra boosts at all.
Her own personal chakra was what saved the day, because it was the same TYPE of chakra like Hamura's (NOT his literally) due to her being a Hyuuga, who are the BLOOD descendants of Hamura.
That's an even bigger "feat" to be RELEVANT without getting ANY boosts whatsoever, loool.

She also restarted Naruto's chakra (but NOT refueled it) after he was drained by Toneri's green ball - which is exactly what Sakura did before (except Sakura spent more chakra due to Naruto being drained of more as well).
Both used the same PROCESS, just to different EXTENTS.

The fact that the NaruHina combo was able to break the Tenseigan, is easily explained by Hinata's chakra protecting their mixed chakra from getting drained, while Naruto provided the brute force for breaking the thing.
Hinata's chakra alone was not enough, which again shows that she DIDN'T have Hamura's LITERAL chakra, only his TYPE of chakra.
Think of a DNA test used for determining parents in real life - it's the SIMILARITY that counts, nothing more.

Hinata still rocks, and was the only person ON THE MISSION CREW who would be able to destroy the Tenseigan.
That alone is a "feat" enough to consider her the main ACTION heroine of the MOVIE (and not merely "pairing fodder").

The movie still has significant flaws (the very time skip being the MAJOR one) - but it's much BETTER than all the previous ones.
And NO, not JUST because it's actually CANON (and NaruHina) - but because it's much more enjoyable on its own.

Lol sasuke would beat fodderneri by himself, rinnegan and tenseigan are roghly on par if you add Naruto then toneri gets negged godly, but if they made sasuke fight toneri the movie would've been MUCH shorter. That's like saying the only person that can beat the rinnegan is an uchiha or a senju (which is technically true). Hinata was just a necessity, if she failed lord sasuke would come in and then he'd solo toneri and walk off like boss.

WEll i kinda agree cos this movie focuses on Hinata rather then naruto & sasuke!

& Frankly Sasuke + Naruto duo is just too much even for toreni. and if you add hinata with hamuras chakra and skimarus intelligence it would have been game oven in an flash!

But honestly sasuke appearance was awesome, came in like a boss soloed the meteoroid and disappeared. Only kakashi could understand that this was sasukes jutsu that destroyed the meteoroid

yup pretty much & ashura or indra (anyone of them) is just too much even for toneri if they get damn serious like they did against madara or kaguya!

So you're basically saying hamura>hagoromo? That isn't even remotely true, the two of them were equal. Like I said hinata had to be relevant somehow and what toneri's doing is basically the same thing as what the preta path can do. If the tenseigan was made to be roughly equal to the rinnegan then why would it be stronger? If toneri would try to absorb sasuke's power then sasuke will either preta it back and steal from toneri and cancel it out. I'm still not certain, since RM is pretty deadly in it's own right where it could actually go toe to toe with kaguya (for intervals at a time). Unrivaled Strength would give toneri a beat down and the rinnegan's prreta path would simply do the same as whatever toneri is trying to absorb. The DNA part isn't even an issue we don't know what sasuke was fully capable of in that movie, kurama did hint that sasuke could absorb a technique while using his own technique but couldn't since his rinnegan was still new. I'm not saying toneri isn't strong I'm just saying that he'd be outclassed by Naruto and sasuke. Sasuke and toneri may roughly equal but since sasuke would be more accustomed to his eye he would win and same for Naruto if he went RM or you know they could pluck toneri's eyes pit but that's too gory for the movie.

I'm not sure why it takes someone with hamura's DNA to destroy the tenseigan which in itself doesn't make sense as this would imply hamura>hagoromo which in itself is laughable. You don't even know how Naruto and sasuke would've fared if they fought toneri at their fullest. I still say they would neg him and with the rinnegan and EMS together who knws what sasuke might do.
