Amon hesitated a little bit after been ask a question suddenly, which he felt was quit unanticipatedly.
He vigorously took in a deep breath and replied,
I'm Amon of Kirigakure. I travelled the globe searching for some of the best Senseis, and I'm glad you accepted me as your student.
I would love to learn and master Genjutsu just as well as other elements and Ninjutsus mainly because I want to avenge my parents death.

Chakra( γγ£γ―γ©):
Chakra is the moulding of Physical Energy, and Spiritual Energy present in every cell of the body. When Chakra is gathered or moulded, it can be channelled through the Chakra pathway system to any 361 Tenketsu in the body.
Chakra Manipulation:
This essentially means the moulding of chakra and Manipulating it into effect that would not be possible. E.g Creating illusions, in other words Genjutsu.
Hand Seals:
Hand seals are signs which are basically used to perform many impossible tasks like Ninjutsu, Genjutsu and Taijutsu. The exact amount of chakra necessary to perform a technique is manipulated through hand seals.

Okay Let's see, Genjutsu is a special technique that requires the disruption of Chakra flow in an individual brain. Genjutsu also, can be cartegorize as Ninjutsu or Taijutsu considering they also requires chakra and Hand seals.
By Disrupting an individual Chakra flows on it Brain, False images are creates which in some cases causes Trauma mainly because the body is led to believe it is in pain.
Genjutsu also can brainwash victims and interrogate individuals by breach their wills.

Genjutsu creates Illusions.
illusion means "an erroneous mental representation" meaning "false reality"
When we say genjutsu, you should put few points in mind.
-Chakra
-Forcing chakra into your target
-Using the chakra to disrupt the target's chakra flow, disrupting the balance between his physical and spiritual energies
-taming the senses
-planting the illusion using the senses. This is like writing a temporarily and virtual program that hacks into the target's mainframe and takes control of the target's senses.
Now lets treat them on after the other.
-Chakra: You will mold your own chakra and transfer it towards the target.
-Forcing the chakra into the target: You will force your chakra into the target's chakra network. This and the first are somewhat known to happen instantly. However, you do this, you have to see your target or have a perception of him, pinpointing his location. This is because, forcing chakra requires precision and advanced chakra control and having no knowledge or perception of the target makes you unable to carry out the process.
-The third is quite understandable. Your chakra entering into the targets chakra network, disrupt his chakra flow. This cannot be seen though or directly noticed except when the chakra pathway is viewed with enhanced visions like the doujutsus and chakra sensory.
-The above gives you access to the target senses which you can make to dance to your tune. There are 5 senses in all that can be manipulated. "Smell, Sight, Hearing, Touch and Taste"
-Lastly, you can now manipulate the senses in such a way you decieve the target into believing something that is not real. "false reality"
Taking the sense of smell for example. You can tame the target into perceiving a sweet smell to be sour or spoilt. Very useful genjutsu against the inuzukas if you get what I mean.
More than one senses can be tamed at once.

Genjutsu detection simply means, having awareness or realization that you are not being normal in terms of abnormalities you noticed around you.
By this, "you eventually conclude, that you are being manipulated by someone or something, Thus Genjutsu Detection."

Hmm, I think I'll be able know when I realized the Snakes are illogical, meaning they aren't suppose to be there.
I could also know, when I notice my chakra is being disrupted.

Amon nodded, and explained how to Break out of Genjutsu.
There are many ways to Break out of Genjutsu, one most peculiar way is to stop the flow of the chakra and even apply a Stronger Chakra to void the flow of the Opponents Chakra.
Another way is to "apply Intense pain" by stabbing, which would bring back the sense together.
Uchiha clan members can also Negate and Break Genjutsu by simply using their Sharingan.

When a person realises (s)he is trap in a Genjutsu, they simply stop the flow chakra in their body. By this, "they forcefully focuses their Chakra on the opponent's chakra and apply a stronger chakra which would disrupt this Alien chakra."

Okay I get what you are trying to do.
You force your chakra into the person's chakra network to cause a spike(sharp surge) in the person's chakra system thus correcting the anomally in his chakra pathway. This does not however, mean that the chakra is a strong one.
Though, in the case of full body surge, a the stronger the pressure and volume of chakra applied is proportional to the type of the genjutsu you break from. Meaning, you have a full body surge with less chakra, then you can only break from weak genjutsu then vice versa.
Puts you in a B-rank Genjutsu where snakes appear from under you and begin to restrict you.
Try and break from it.

"I see, I'm in Genjutsu"
Amon quickly realized he was in a genjutsu, He instantly thought on some ways to break out of it. Eventually, he stopped his Chakra flow and cautiously forces his chakra into his Sensei's chakra network, this causes a spike in his Sensei chakra system which in accordance corrects the abnormality in his Chakra pathway.

Wrong! Sorry you got it wrong.
First of, your detection is not right.
You can feel chakra enter you as its not a surge. Infact you won't know you are put in a genjutsu until you are actually in it.
Also you can't just say, because you see snakes, you are in a genjutsu. As a matter of fact, the snakes might be a sort of summing jutsu or natural snakes from the terrain.
What you should have done to notice you are in a genjutsu is see whats wrong with the sudden appearance of snake.
"say, you did not see me make a blood sacrifice, nor did you see me make handseal and slam my hands. So this rules out the fact that is not a summoning jutsu. Anothe fact is that, the snake was not there before and if it were to be natural snakes, they must have been underground below you but you did not see any hole from which they surface. Puting all this fact together, you can now conclude, its some sort of genjutsu. Now if you are a chakra sensor or a doujutsu user, you can confirm by checking your chakra network if your chakra is disturbed.
Secondly, I was thinking you'd try to use pain to break away from the genjutsu since, I've not taught you how to spike chakra yet but your try is incorrect.
Puts you in another genjutsu where you see butterflies flying everywhere blocking your vision.
