This ol' stupid sonuva...

The idiot gets shot at around 1:30. Like seriously...? In what retarded alternate universe does, "Do not f-cking move" mean get out of the car? This guy knew the officer's gun was drawn and would not have been shot had he stayed still and kept his hands up. Now people are going to protest and say the man was innocent. Yeah, he was innocent, but he was also very stupid.

If an officer tells you to put your hands in the air does that mean put your hands on your hips? If an officer says to get on the ground, does that mean to walk towards him? Come on man... You lost your life because you couldn't listen. Police officers have emotions too. They are not robots or mind readers and have no idea what you're doing when you're pushing a car door against an officer trying to get out of the vehicle. Just adding more flames to this race war man...

OP I highly doubt if it was your father that got shot in that way you would have the same outlook. I see people saying things like "cops are people too" ok let me ask this, if I got into a altercation with someone and I'm standing outside their car door and they get out of the car with their hands clearly empty and i have a gun and take it upon my self to take his life because he spooked me will I be justified? No, no I won't. I'm sick of the cotton soft cops playing judge jury and excicusioner just because they're scared and have a gun. Honestly doesn't the officer have eyes? Or did he feel that threatend by an unarmed man with empty hands? Couldn't he have shot him in the legs or once just to subdue him? Granted it wasn't the best idea to get out of the car in that situation but don't disrespect the dead I'm quite sure you can conve your opinion in a more respectable way. Btw I wonder how is it that I see threas about dead Naruto characters being bashed and getting closed quickly but for some reason this...whatever it's pointless.

No need to call him an Idiot. Defying orders doesn't equate to idiocy.

Another thing, there was no f***ing need to shoot the guy in a vital area. Shooting his shoulder or leg or his dominant arm, then immobilizing him should have sufficed. As soon as the cop started swearing, he was looking for trouble as much as the offender was.

Edit: Just rewatched the video and saw that the guy had his hands up. The maggot excuse of a law enforcer needs to be executed or jailed for firing.

paranoid doughnut vacuum cleaners. Police state in the making Lol

In Europe, in a worst case scenario, they'd shoot him in non-vital areas to immobilise the suspect.
it's so simple to shoot him in the leg while he's sitting.

how about this Lol skip to 3:00. You'll see.

Atlantic City, NJ — A terrible injustice is transpiring in New Jersey this week as a man was just indicted for assaulting police officers after surveillance footage clearly shows one of the worst cases of police brutality ever caught on film.

Connor Castellani, 22, of Linwood, will stand trial for three charges; aggravated assault on a police officer, a third-degree crime; resisting arrest with threats or use of force or violence, also a third-degree crime; and inflicting harm on a law enforcement animal, a fourth-degree crime.

The incident happened in the early morning hours of June 15, 2013. Castellani was kicked out of the Tropicana resort for being underage.

The entire stop was caught on video after Castellani left the casino. Officers stopped him, questioned him, made him empty his pockets and eventually sent him on his way.

However, after Castellani walked away he is seen on video yelling something at the officers; a mistake that nearly cost him his life. After a brief verbal exchange, police run up to the 20-year-old man and proceed to beat him to the point of hospitalization.

Actually can u name a non vital area that is safe to shoot?

Legs arnt the answer cause Legs got very important arteries, it can easily cause the victims to bleed out and if it pierces the bone the shock alone can kill him and is likely to disable him.

That's not an argument. A hit in the leg is not an instant kill. After being shot and arrested, the suspect should get immediate treatment and problem solved.

Well that would be too sensible.

That's not the American way.

When did this become about me or my family? I genuinely don't think my dad would not follow instructions. There's absolutely no reason not to.

Your friend got pulled over for passing a stop sign and you're the one trying to pull the gun Lol? This man is not very smart.

You clearly did not see the video. The officer was holding the door closed and the man was forcing it open. When the door was shoved open the officer stepped back and opened fire. Why would the man shove the door open? Why would he not just follow directions? The officer saw the man has a gun in reach and now he's forcing the door open. Why would he let the man straighten up and shoot him before he shoots back?

This thread is not closed because it's real and I have done no wrong. The man tried to force open the car door against the police officer, what did he expect to happen to him? The fact of the matter is the video shows the two sides of what happens if you follow directions and if you don't. The man driving obeyed all directions and escaped physically unscathed. The passenger left in a body bag. You tell me my man? Next time I am pulled over do I force the door open against the officer and stand up or do I sit calmly with my hands in the air?

No need to call him an Idiot. Defying orders doesn't automate to equate to idiocy.

The man had a gun and kept reaching for it according to the officer. I don't think the officer made up a lie in zero seconds flat, after having a nice genuine conversation with the man, just to slay him. Lol

You see a man keep reaching for a gun and you keep telling him to chill out and stop. The man doesn't listen and is now trying to open the door. He isn't saying anything, just trying to open the door. You're holding the door closed pleading with the man to stop and keep his hands up. The man shoves the door open and stands up at you. Not 10 seconds prior the man was reaching for a gun despite your constant warnings. I think this officer the right to shoot this man. Hell, I probably would have shot him while he was trying to open the door.

I love the argument of shoot him in a vital area. I wish we could test every idiot who says this in a scenario like this.

Shooting him in the leg would leave him able to grab the gun that was in the glove compartment.

Well how about you watch the video closely rather than taking the officers word. Stop at 1:33 and you can clearly see he had his hands up. The cop could have been lying to save his ass. Also it's not even an argument. Dunno what the hell is wrong you but as far as I'm concerned shooting his shoulder or arm maybe once or twice would have stopped him from reaching for a "gun". How would he reach for a gun when both of his arms have been drilled by a bullet? And make no mistake, the cops were trained to shoot accurately and effectively, so there's no excuse that he shot out of panic. He was f***ing trained for this shit. No damn excuse. And the most retarded thing is the cop at the back who had no definitive vision of the guy shot him. That is the ultimate fail right there. Shooting the guy whilst your vision is partially obstructed is idiocy. You do not shoot the offender unless you can see grabs his gun. Shooting him then is okay, but not the way the other guy did. He had his f***ing arms up when he was shot. Now tell me, was he of any danger then? Glad I don't live in the US. Majority of the police are trash.

So you just gonna disregard the man was trying to force open the door against the cop.

It's not the first time someone has shown resistance against a cop. The dark skinned officer who had proper vision of the offender didn't shoot for a reason because the guy did not reach for anything. He backed up from the door and was most likely going to tell the guy to put his hands on his head and lay on the ground. And if he had made sudden movement towards his pocket he'd have shot his arms or something. However the other partially distracted handicap who didn't have a f***ing clue what was going on thought that his buddy was in danger and shot him through the chest. He made a classic mistake and he should be punished for murder. Ideally behind bars for 40+ years, seeing as i don't agree with executions.

Why are people urging about this and making it out to be a race thing by the few that posted here.
The cop that killed him was black. So it's not a race issue.

Also if you've seen the video the cop saw him reach for a gun. Of course this is going to tense things up.
The guy was also disobeying orders, fighting with him,and got out of the car when he was told not to move for safety reason for both the cop and the guy.

When the guy got out,you can see he was raising his hands, but those hands at first was also reaching out to the cop to make it seem like the guy was going to attack or grab the gun. The cop probably thought ,in a intense moment, that his life could be in danger.
Plus once the cop fired thats when he raised his arms up, seems like a reflex of trying to protect himself from the gun being fired.
There was already one gun pulled out,the guy could have had another one.

Now what people are over seeing is that Reid has a violent past.
Superior Court records and reports in The Press show that Reid, then called Jerome Reid, was 15 years old when he fired three shots at a trio of state troopers in Atlantic County in March 1994. Reid eventually was sentenced to 15 years in state prison on a charge of criminal attempted homicide.

Chill out people.

You watch too many movies. If the cop shot him once, he can do it twice. That also gives the suspect the chance not to make the mistake again of reaching towards his gun.

And in Holland we call comments like yours a 'one man joke'. Enjoy your moment Lol
