Perhaps, it could just as easily be like Lee vs Gaara in part one though. Only this time Gaara doesn't have any Shukaku which imo boosted his stamina and perhaps gave him slightly better control of sand? (Which enabled him the win.) Did we ever see the sand armour post extraction? Or did it just get forgotten? :/
