After watching the video, the cop was in the right. That guy was stupid enough to not listen, he even heard the cops say that he would shoot.

And if I'm not mistaken, the cop in charge and giving the orders and who shot the most shots was a black man (the white cop shot once), so the whole race card thing can't really be used here.

I never made it about race. I read from the description that the people in the community were tying it to something similar to the Michael Brown and Eric Garner cases.

If you listen and actually raise your "hands up" that doesn't mean that you'll walk out alive, the thief may just kill you anyway.

Very true, however if you listen to the thief and he only takes your wallet you should still be happy he didn't take your damn life. The same with this guy in the video. Worst case scenario if you follow the directions is the cop pulls you out the car and arrests you for reaching for the gun. If he didn't have a gun he'd be released soon after.

Did it ever say he was killed? Or was he just shot multiple times?

While that's an option, when your life is on the line, you don't want to take any chance, even if it's a 1% chance of dying.

That's why police officers are trained to shoot to kill, not to incapacitate or injure.

I thought cops were supposed to be strong mentally and physically? I didn't know a cop would be so scared that reaching for the gun and shooting is always their first option. Like what the hell? How are you going to protect and serve if you're scare yourself? When you put a fearful person in charge of a weapon he thinks its power. When people fight, they learn to their power side. Whether its fists or weapons. You dont grab the weakest tool. In my opinion, there shouldn't be scary cops. That puts people in danger. Every time someone moves wrong you shoot them. Sounds cowardly. Cops shouldn't be more fearful than the people they're protecting. The guy he shot was scared. Whatever race, the guy was scared. That's why he got out the car. He panicked.

The cop is already under a lot of stress. The most dangerous thing a cop can do is a traffic stop. Now add to that a man who isn't following commands and gets out of his vehicle. At night. The cops were right to open fire.

it was a tense situation for both parties, the man must have been flustered by two guns being pointed at him and the cops screaming, sometimes people may react poorly when under pressure. Its unfortunate

The guy that got killed had a record of killing a cop when he was a teenager and spent 13 years in prison.
He also had a gun in the glove box,so of course the cop isn't going to take a risk of a man that killed a cop before,tried to reach for his gun then got out of the car in a rush.
