Databook can't be trusted anyway, as it is wrong half of the times. It even implies it was because of Sasuke's hatred, which it obviously wasn't.

Why is it so hard to just accept the fact that Itachi's little brother just might have had a strong enough will (and special enough chakra) to break Tsukuyomi himself?

YES Itachi planned for Sasuke to win...But did it occur to you that maybe he had enough faith in his brother's skill that he knew he was capable of breaking Tsukuyomi?

He needed Sasuke to use up all his chakra to invoke that curse mark and cause Orochimaru to come forth. This Itachi knew he had to do to get rid of Orochimaru's chakra from Sasuke's body.

I honestly don't think he weakened the potenetcy of Tsukoyomi, he simply didn't use it to kill Sasuke, plus he was already suffering from the end effects of his illness and the overuse of his MS. I don't think he could even make it any more potent than it already was due to this.

My theory anyway.
