What about us? We got tons of Afghan refugees because of war lord who supported Taliban you know.

We have had refugees of religious percecustion for ages - since 4 AD. First wave:Syrian Christians.
Second Wave:Zoroastrians and Jews. Third Buddhist running away from muslim invaders - some outside India after burning of Nalanda some in other locations..Then Hindus and Sikhs and buddhists from Pakistan and Bnagladesh. Then even Muslims from Pakistan - lol ( after a Karachi riot some years back )

Seriously people move around all the time. And there are all kind of reasons too- many move for better life style. Some for peace of mind. Some just because- I cannot say anything else when I see some of the Europeans migrants in my city. I always wonder why the heck they would moved here when they might have had better options but whatever..At first I thought they were related with some church but one of them was just a school teacher married to a local Sikh girl.. :shrug:

US has been poking it's nose in other country's affairs but don't forget that they gave them a window in most cases. They only took the opportunity using that wedge. You can blame US for reaping benefits from the local conflict and serve it's own interests- that's true. But most of these countries were by no means a peaceful zone even before.

Well honestly there is no wrong in asking a little bit quality in immigrants .... Since they allow Immigration it kinda sends the signal that they are welcome as long as they are good people. But when the said immigrants are low lives and disturbs people who just want to live in peace, dont u think the annoyance is warranted?

Well that is why I would not be so against a system of minimum qualification ..... I might be bit insulting but I dont think the first world countries needs more burger flippers or taxi drivers, those job markets should not be saturated by specially imported foreigners when there are native unemployment. (Funnily I am from a 3rd World Country) ..... While specially skilled people with clean records are the one's who should be preferred. Then again I am rambling.

I hope you know this kind of dirty politics: It is standard tactics when you cant fight your enemies directly make friends with enemies of your enemies and cultivate them, USA (Nearly all countries) has been doing this for ages to maintain influence but with proper precautions and care such shit dont hit the fan. But given the recent rise in certain tendencies (*cough* incompetence) .... those operations have gone haywire and the recklessness has given the wrong groups power.

For example imagine it this way ... In the past: A country X is dominated by a group who is anti USA and is hurting their trade, so they cultivate a proper group who would not go far and will take over with minimum hassle (thus cause no noticeable attention) and thus in the end plenty of people are not dead and two parties are happy ... But now: A country X dominated by group Y who is against USA's interests ... and the idiots would fund anyone who is Anti Y, thus we get groups like Taliban who gets power thus eventually shit hits the fan. Ironically same thing happened in Pakistan: they have been funding terrorists against India (Recently there have been Pakistani army ration slips found among terrorist belongings) and others (Also USA used to fund and turn a blind eye to Pakistan for that as India used to be friendly to Russia) ... but those groups predictably took over an area and clashed with the government and eventually massacred school children in Peshawar. ..... Afghanistan' history of past 2000+ years is ridden with foreign countries invading or meddling in it's affairs. Once upon a time it was Hindu/Buddhist region you know. The locals got defeated, enslaved and sold to other countries by middle eastern powers- as far as Europe even. The Gypsies trace part of their heritage back to India for a reason. You're right. I didn't think that through properly. Instead of spending more on foreign aid and immigrants wanting government aid, we should close the borders (not permanently) and fix our domestic problems first. I'd rather see not a single homeless person instead of wasting our money pleasing u.s.a. by spending billions of euros on military planes, bailing other european nations and arming syrian rebels like we did a while ago. At that time, 80+ year old citizens were being thrown out of healthcare benefits. Or atleast, it was being discussed as far as I can remember.
