This is probably how things are going to turn out in the current manga, maybe (probably not) Trebol will join in, but he's not going to stay in too long. I think Luffy and Law take this fight with extreme difficulty, we know for a fact Luffy and can't beat Doflamingo individually. But, I think a tag team will overwhelm Doflamingo eventually...

Doflamingo had some trouble with Law alone, they take this with Luffy in the mix...

Doffy vs Luffy with interference Trebol and Law. Luffy fights better after he has experienced his opponent's fighting style and Luffy just minced a Doffy clone. Luffy should be able to handle himself, but Law will have to pitch in for the final blow.

Somehow i just don't see law getting back into full fighting form after getting his arm cut off

nah they'll probably make luffy win alone (to make law trust him even more just like jinbei) but to answer your question they win mid diff

WOW you people are underestimating Luffy big time.
No matter what, Luffy is going to fight DD alone and he even stated it himself not wanting any help.
We still haven't seen Luffy go all out yet, he has been mucking around ever since post time skip.

Law's out unconscious...

The way I see it, Luffy will walk in seeing law damaged to near death.

He'll get mad (some will of D sh*t), have a great battle of Conqueres Haki clash and beat the piss out of Doffy.

Pretty sure Luffy went all out against the Noah, and you're underestimating Oda's writing ability. For Oda to establish such a connection between Law and Doffy, then portray Law as one of Luffy's main rivals, only to have him become a "Go Strawhat!" character would be extremely wasteful. It'd waste what Oda has portrayed Law as in terms of becoming Pirate King. It'd waste a great backstory and two characters' relationship's development, and it'd be a waste of some damn good action. The best way to go about it would be Law and Luffy fighting Doffy together, and Law landing the last blows that actually put down Doffy because Law deserves it a lot more. Luffy defeating Doffy alone would be wasteful, cliche and cheesy.

I don't know what manga you're reading but I have never seen Luffy tag team against the main antagonist of an arc. Oh yeah and he would've destroyed the noah if it weren't for him being stopped by the sea kings. Also can you imagine Doffy actually being alright after elephant gatling gun

I knew I forgot a word in my last post: It'd also be repetitive. The same thing happening over and over gets boring. Oda hasn't had a problem breaking formulas before. For example, Luffy took on the second strongest enemy in Punk Hazard rather than the strongest, which went to Law and Smoker. Sanji also tangoed with the strongest, while Zoro took on the weakest main enemy. There's also all of the Strawhats taking down Oars. Jr, and Zoro fighting Hody Jones, the main villain, in Fishman Island. Sanji is currently the one facing off a Yonko's crew, rather than facing the third strongest. It's arguable as to who is stronger, Fujitora or Doffy(most likely Fuji), but not Luffy nor Zoro nor Sanji fought him, but Sabo. It's good for Oda to do new things rather than conforming himself to the same predictable things all of the time.

What's so bad about Luffy and Law teaming up? You get to see your all-out Luffy. Law fans get to see Law do something cool and live up to his development with Doffy rather than Oda squandering him. Oda gets to dish out some pretty good writing, better than the "Luffy alone" alternative. Oda gets to break repetition, and do new things. We get to see what the badass villains of the New World will be capable of through Doflamingo. What cons do you see that you just need for Luffy to do it alone?

I'm afraid Law has already gone all out that's, plus he's already lost agaisnt Doffy, lying unconscious with one arm. I don't see what he can do now

Law is very conscious and so what? Doesn't mean he can't still contribute. By your logic, Luffy's fight with Lucci should have ended when he was on the ground and unable to move a muscle. It's not over until it's over. I still don't see you being able to list cons that outweighs the pros I mentioned.

LOL Luffy's fight with Lucci did end with Luffy unable to move a muscle and Lucci being out unconscious and half dead.

Before that. Before the Jet Gatling when he was on the ground and he and Usopp were yelling at each other. There were two instances of Luffy not being able to move.

I'm still waiting for those cons, or are you blatantly ignoring that hole in your argument?

When you compare the pros and cons of Luffy defeating Doffy by himself to Law and Luffy doing it together, I don't understand why anyone would want Oda to do the former.
