[Question] Role-play going down hill?

Is it just me or has anyone notice? Back a few years back the place was booming with people wanting to roleplay and actually roleplaying... now i barely see a thread. and training when i train i get a reply every 6 days give or take sometimes it feels longer, is that the norm of here now?

cause if it is you really have let the rp section of this place dwindle ..... makes me wish i cant re-wind the site back a few years. where senseis and senpais were on, on a daily basis and willing to teach and roleplay where we had big villages and groups had there own thread section to make there own roleplays..... i want the old site back... will the aspects of the past site like threads in groups ever show back up?

will rp ever be booming again? these are my questions..... ​

Thats what im saying hun, back a few years there were many senseis and senpais wililng to teach people.... and it didnt take 2-4 months for a bio to be approved, or disapproved. its dwindled so much,.....

it just makes me upset :/ i have so much fun in the old days roleplaying utill i feel asleep in my chair on here when i was younger now, i wish i had my village back, my secert village where groups had threads and we role played and it was fun so much fun. im sorry i feel like a rambling old woman .... old days this old days that but it really was some great times and memeroies

or we need more senseis? or senpais? people willing to teach? so fun... anything >.>

What makes me sad is that I just started on this site not too long ago and I wanted to RP right away, but I feel it would takes ages to get anywhere from the approving of bios to getting a sensei to actually mastering whatever you're learning. :/ I guess I joined at the wrong time but I really do wish things would be faster paced.

What exactly do you want mods/admins to do about this ? It sounds like your just complaining . Its not senseis/senpais fault they have a life and cant stay on narutobase 24/7 .

You do realize six days isn't a long time. If it was a one reply per-month it would be different. You do realize, people do have real lifes outside NB and don't have time to reply, they may have any number of reasons, school, family/personal reasons, work etc... being impatient won't help them reply faster, and before I carry on more. Move on from the past, it is the past.

It isn't that easy you realize. SharingDork is working up another sensei test, that'll take time. Talk to Cali if you think more RP mods should be hired.

Not that easy , you to take into account their credibility , work ethic , and if there even fit to be a sensei/ or want to be a sensei .

no its not there fault its no ones fault and yes people have lives.... but there is 1300 or so users online now 200 of them members out of that 200 there is one sensei ... im not saying they have to drop everything for those 200 people im saying appoint more sensei's or senpai's ... to help things add another couple mods in the bio section to go through them faster we have many people here but barely any authority figures

Those should all be obviously checked/tested to see if they're qualified but I see a ton of people wanting to be in those positions yet aren't. They could easily just begin to hire more people if they wanted, the problem is they aren't though.

yes 6 days isnt the longest time in the world to be waiting on replies, but i check here daily even having a secdual saying ill post every sat, or sun or what ever..... just so people arent waiting for replies checking egerly hoping to train and role play... that way poeple can have 2 senseis teaching them different things on different days.... ect....... im dewling on the past a bit because back then it was fun..... and now its a waiting and guessing game

Im just going to leave this here

To be a sensei

•Have a good online time
•Be of at least S-Class Ninja rank
•Be active on the Forums for for a minimum period of 5 months
•You have to have your training in all the cannon Elements (Ninjutsu) already finished (up to the rank that your current user rank allows), same as with Taijutsu and you need to know Genjutsu at least up to B rank
•You have to be a specialist in at least two cannon elements
•You need to be a able to present a fair amount of jutsu and character related knowledge
•You need to be completely familiar with the current Rules and Restrictions of our RolePlaying system
•You have to be able to write complete and understandable English sentences


If your application got approved, you will enter the process of becoming a Sensei. This process has 2 stages; first there is a written test, and if you pass it, you need to take a battle test.


1st - The Written Test

The written test is conducted on a separate site (tho still a part of NarutoBase since it is owned by me). If and when your application gets accepted, on the following Monday you will receive log in details to the email address you provided, and shortly after that you will receive the link to an example test you can take so you see how the automated system works.
The following Tuesday at 00:00 GMT +2 you will receive the link to your Sensei test. Sensei tests can be taken on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. You don't have to take yours immediately, you can leave it for an other week, just remember it is available only on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
On the following Thursday you will receive your test results in an email, again sent to the email address you provided. If you passed the test you will be able to proceed to the next step.
Note: As you can see everything about the written test is organized through emails, therefore make sure to add [email protected] to your contacts so the email doesn't end up in the trash/spam folder.


2nd - The Battle Test

Only after you have passed your Written Test, and only then, you qualify to be tested through a battle. Do not look an opponent up yourself, we (mainly Vincent) will notify you of the fight you need to do.
The most important thing in the fight isn't to win, but to show enough skill, so even if you loose, you may still become a Sensei; this doesn't apply however if you get brutally killed in the fight...

Yeah, I just read what you're suppose to do. I wasn't only speaking of just the sensei position though, I'm also talking about the senpai position as well. I could understand there wouldn't be a whole lot of sensei's but what about senpai's?

Couldn't it be that every sensei has three senpai's under their wing?
