What's on his head in the first picture? It looks like a cat ear

It was a filler. The reason people wore cat ears was to infiltrate the area, since where ninja cats live- only cats are allowed (humans cannot enter). It's a disguise. Naruto Shippuden Episode 189 and titled "Sasuke's Paw Encyclopedia".

When he was 5, he took down an army of hundreds of ninja cats. After taking out the head cat, he made a deal with it saying that once Sasuke was old enough, he'd fight the same cats as a check mark of his strength. Sasuke and Team 7 fighting the cats and infiltrating their territory is what the episode is about.

Also, it's revealed that when Sasuke was 3 and Itachi was 8, the latter set up a game for the former where he'd collect paw prints of the cats. Itachi came up with this idea since Sasuke would be restless anytime they'd go to the storehouse to get supplies. (Same storehouse with Granny Cat that Sasuke and Hebi went to in order to get supplies in the manga).

yes it is, it's when he fought Nekomata to get his paw on the paw encyclopedia he had to wear those cat ears to be able to understand their language.

yeah. I at least give a lot of importance to the one about never forgetting your friends and loved ones and I do all my best to apply it in real life. We are born dependant on others and we live dependant on others and if we forget the ones who were always there as we climbed our way in life, we'll lose ourselves in the end.

That's good But at the same time, it creates conflict, don't you think? By affiliating with any group of people over any other, we create barriers between each other :/ Countries, religions, families...That's another thing Itachi talked about.

You're right, it does but at least i've been able to not just stick to a group. I was confronted with some conflicts though due to different social echelons and backgrounds but who said it was easy anyway. There will always be those who are bound to such things like Itachi said.

But, when you think about it, shouldn't the fact that you all have the same goal be enough to put an end to the conflicts? Maybe more people just need to think about it like that. :/

The thing is...with some, i realised we didn't have the same goal. I don't know :/ it's rather complex sometimes. It has to do with their own values, concepts ...
