[Predictions] Naruto Manga 485 Discussion and 486 Predictions

I was just re-reading the chapter and I noticed a few things. First of all, this time I actually saw the third clone behind Kakashi. Also, on that panel, the Naruto on the right still has his hands in a hand sign. This suggests that the Naruto on the right is the real Naruto. Later on, when Naruto runs out from behind Kakashi after one of the clones grabs onto him, it looks to me like the Naruto that runs out is the one from the middle, not the one on the end. Thus, I think it may have been a clone that ran out against Sasuke and not the real Naruto.

Also, the fact that Naruto makes two clones and not only one suggests he may actually be using Fuuton Rasengan, since he would only need one clone to make rasengan, and the third Naruto is kind of extraneous otherwise. The small size and swirling in the air around the rasengan in this chapter also suggest to me that it was a actually a fuuton rasengan. This is critical I think, because fuuton jutsu are strong against lightning...

Both these things suggest, to me, that Naruto has a plan and is not just acting on whims and feelings. He is thinking clearly, and has clearly made his decision. Exactly what it is, we will have to wait and see.

I also think Kakashi was a little wishwashy over whether to tell Naruto to leave or not...He was adamant about Sakura leaving, but sometimes told only Sakura to go, and other times both of them...kinda funny.

P.S. Did anyone else feel like Naruto was going to grab Sasuke's hand in that panel with just their hands?

About the rest i may agree with you, you have good points there. But if it was fuuton rasengan i think it would affect kakashi and sakura too and could almost kill or actually kill sasuke., wich i think it isn't naruto's first choice.

no thats not what he meant, futon rasengan is different from futon rasen shuriken. fuuton rasengan is an ordinary rasengan made from wind chakra. whereas the FRS is the real deal. A rasengan + wind chakra.

Thank you for clearing that up for me! I was not refering to rasenshuriken, but to the less powerful (but still more powerful than a normal rasengan) fuuton rasengan. Thanks for taking the time to find pages where it shows both.

I don't think it will affect Kakashi or Sakura...but I am definitely looking forward to seeing the result of this clash of chidori and rasengan (whether it is an ordinary rasengan, or one injected with wind chakra). And, though I agree that Naruto is not aiming to kill Sasuke, I will not rule out him trying to seriously injure Sasuke or being seriously injured himself.

It's kinda weird though , almost everytime when Naruto "dreams" in the middle of the battle, kyuubi appears.

This was actually a very good chapter.

We all know that Naruto has some secret plan, some special "third option". I think Naruto could kill Sasuke right now if he wanted to though. Naruto has far more power than Sasuke does. If he were really pushing it, and that Rasengan were as powerful as he could make it, there's no way Sasuke could match it with a plain Chidori.

Several chapters ago I was very vocal in saying that in a straight fight Sasuke would win. This is because I was matching capabilities and techniques, not comparing raw power levels. There's no argument, Naruto has much more power than Sasuke. I didn't think (and still don't think) that a fully-powered Sasuke with his MS techniques would lose to Naruto. Amaterasu and Susanoo are just too powerful.

BUT...This is hardly that situation. Sasuke's MS are gone, he's tired, and he's trying to fight Naruto directly. Naruto is a short-range brawler and is extremely powerful in close-range combat. His Rasengan is certainly more powerful, when fully-powered than Sasuke's chidori is. There's no hope that Sasuke can overpower this particular attack. The only way Naruto doesn't win is if he lets Sasuke win, which he might. Again, we don't know what Naruto's secret third option is going to be.

MAYBE Naruto tells Sasuke about Itachi's power gift, and the discussion they had. That kind of information might make Sasuke lose his determination.

I'm definitely looking forward to next episode.

everything is happening to fast i really wanted to see the kakashi sasuke fight but what you gonna do i think that in the next episode sasuke might of lost of madara some how teleported him out but i wish they kept fighting a little longer because this search for sasuke has been going on for a little to long but i really dont care the more episode the better

Kakashi vs Sasuke in this condition would be kinda a weak fight with a quick ending by the Copy Nin.. Kakashi would have taken a win on this one.
It is more interesting to see what naruto's plans are imho but I will say looking at it again.. Naruto is riding sasuke's jock pretty hard. Talk-no-jutsu is just a bit too much this time... Hopefully as OP have mentioned he may have said some of that in his head. But he was all over Sasuke's nuts like they were going out of style and Sakura... I used to like her character but thats gone now her character is kinda ruined for me I was really expecting to see a mini Tsunade. But she is not living up to what I would expect from a mini Tsunade..

average chapter.I was expecting a lot of talk in this manga and that is fine but there should have been some sort of resolve.Instead we got a horrble cliffhanger which makes this chapter useless.If we had an answer this would have been great because then we could move on and hopefully see a grown up naruto.

i think that kishi is doing this because he wants to make it clear for everybody who somehow still thinks that sasuke is good and who finds new theories each week which justifies his actions.So kishi wants to erase any doubt that sasukes action can be forgiven and the purpose is to build him up to the ultimate super villain.

3rd choice: clone hits sasuke with a wind rasengan, cuts all of his chakra points but doesn't kill him. Naruto takes sasuke and Karin back to Konoha. Then Tobi becomes a really bad boy!

I read this chapter again and laughed when Sakura said thank you to Naruto and he just stood up and started talking to Sasuke.
Anyway I still find it strange that Sasuke stopped attacking people and took the time to listen to Naruto. "It's time to make your choice! Kill me and become a hero, or die at my hand and become another one of my victims!" Sasuke is confusing. Is he just testing Naruto or does he really want to go at Naruto practically blind and without the full extent of his chakra..
Looking forward to next week I'll probably go WTH every page.

i absolutely loved this chap. but it was hard to put it at five cuz i made the previous chap a 5. but i really liked this one eventhough it was kinda short. i really liked the page where naruto and sasuke switched moves. i liked naruto w/ the chidori. Also eventhough they talked through most of this short chap. i believe they did enough fighting to make it balenced. i think that kishi filled this short chap with enough to keep people wondering about the next chap and hopefully next week will b a lil unbalanced lol (more fighting). plus i loved the way kakashi kept chompin sakura off by tellin her to leave and then he said something like, didn't u already try n fail?? hilarious

I think that the part you are refering to, where Sasuke stopped attacking, may actually have taken place inside Naruto's head. Sasuke and Naruto were already running at each other when it started. It's kinda like the moment at the Valley of End at the end of part 1, where their child selves shook hands. Even happened in the same whiteness. So it was either entirely a product of Naruto's imagination, a manifestation of his thought process, or it was some sort of genjutsu thing like when Sasuke stopped the Kyuubi the first time he and Naruto met in Part 2. They didn't actually stop fighting.

Yeah that's true but in general Sasuke was closer to calm then ever from these past few chapters when Naruto showed up. Oh man I'm pretty obsessive when it comes to Naruto you'll find me verbally abusing my computer when Sasuke or anyone in general is doing something stupid. :ghehe:
