I have to say DoubleKamui is right about the attention. People tend to give me more attention when I drive my corvette than I do in my truck. At gas stations or convenient stores, it's a conversational starter. Women (not necessarily gold diggers) and sometimes men (mostly gearheads) would stop and talk to me about my car. Some women say yes, to me asking them out. I hate to say it but, sometimes a person is judged on the car they drive. With me, a corvette means financial security to some women, and the Z06 badge means boy racer to the gearhead guys.
As far as the cops. Yes it grabs their attention too. But don't drive like a prick and they'll leave well enough alone. I've gotten the thumbs up from cops before. I used to own 600hp Trans Am. Chambered mufflers, straight pipes and a lopey cam. The exhaust note alone would draw attention and the cops never gave me any grief for it because I didn't drive like an prick. I get my speed thrills on the track or the strip and that's were I leave it.
